02/07/17WRJulio JonesToeQUESTIONABLEJones (toe) is participating in the Falcons' voluntary offseason program in a limited fashion, with the expectation he'll be back to full strength for training camp, Matt Winkeljohn of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Still rehabbing from February surgery to remove a bunion, Jones has been walking around the team facility without a noticeable limp. His status as a limited participant likely will stretch beyond April workouts and into May, but he should be a full go for the start of training camp in late July, or possibly even for mandatory minicamp in mid-to-late June. His surgery came with an expected rehab timetable of four-to-five months.

02/06/17DLAdrian ClaybornBicepsQUESTIONABLEClayborn (biceps) faces about four more months of recovery, Vaughn McClure of ESPN reports.

Clayborn stated that he faced a five-month recovery from when his torn biceps occurred Jan. 14, so by that measure he faces about four months left in his recovery process. That puts his return at some time in mid-June, so he should be ready for 2017's training camp.

02/06/17WRDevin FullerShoulderQUESTIONABLEThe Falcons placed Fuller (shoulder) on the IR on Monday,

The Falcons drafted Fuller out of LSU in the seventh-round of this years draft. The Rookie impressed early on in the preseason recording 66 yards and a touchdown in his first two games before injuring his shoulder in the team's third game against the Dolphins. The Saints had hoped he could earn a spot returning kicks heading into the season.

02/06/17DBKemal IshmaelShoulderQUESTIONABLEIshmael (shoulder) will play outside linebacker exclusively in the spring, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports.

Ishmael was listed as a free safety on last year's depth chart, but with the Falcons releasing Philip Wheeler and Vic Beasley being more of a pass rusher, they are looking to Ishmael to fill a more traditional strong-side linebacker role. He recorded 52 combined tackles while playing only 27.9 percent of Atlanta's defensive snaps in 13 games last season before suffering a season-ending shoulder injury, so the Falcons will be hoping he can successfully bring his tackling abilities from safety to linebacker in the coming months.

02/06/17DBAkeem KingUndisclosedQUESTIONABLEKing (undisclosed), an exclusive-rights free agent, was tendered by the Falcons on Thursday, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Formerly a safety, King will continue his conversion to cornerback now that he's staying in Atlanta for another year. However, he likely won't compete for anything more than a depth role.

02/06/17DLChris MayesFootQUESTIONABLEMayes (foot) has been placed on the Falcons' injured reserve list.

Dealing with a foot injury he suffered on Monday, Mayes had been been placed on the team's waived/injured list, but cleared waivers and will now be stashed on the Falcons' IR.

02/06/17DLDerrick ShelbyCalfQUESTIONABLEShelby (calf) is progressing in his recovery and is expected to be ready for the 2017 regular season, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Consitution reports.

Shelby suffered a season-ending calf injury back in October, but has been bulking up during his rehab and should be a full go come the start of the season. The defensive tackle might see a decrease in usage this year, however, with the Falcons having acquired Dontari Poe in free agency.

02/06/17LBTyler StarrUndisclosedQUESTIONABLEStarr spent the 2016 season in injured reserve due to an undisclosed injury, Tim Gallagher of the Sioux City Journal reports.

Starr appeared in one game in 2015 but was placed on IR prior to the start of the 2016 season. He'll be looking to bounce back and secure a depth linebacker or special teams position in 2017.

02/06/17TEJacob TammeShoulderQUESTIONABLETamme (shoulder) doesn't appear to be in the Falcons' plans for 2017, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. "Jacob will more than likely get to free agency," general manager Thomas Dimitroff said.

Operating as Atlanta's starting tight end, Tamme racked up his highest touchdown total since 2010 last season despite appearing in just eight games due to a shoulder injury. However, he's entering his age-32 campaign, while the Falcons have a younger and cheaper alternative in the form of last year's talented third-round selection, Austin Hooper. Although it isn't clear what kind of market awaits the veteran tight end coming off shoulder surgery, Tamme still looked to have something left in the tank before succumbing to injury, so he shouldn't have a problem finding a new home this offseason if and when he can prove his health.

02/06/17DBDesmond TrufantPectoralQUESTIONABLETrufant agreed to a five-year contract extension with the Falcons on Saturday, D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Trufant was expected to become a free agent following the 2017 season, but the Falcons have opted to lock up the 26-year-old corner for the foreseeable future. He has started every game he has played since being drafted by the team in 2017, but his season was cut short this past year due to a torn pectoral muscle. The Washington product provided 55 tackles, 17 passes defended, two interceptions, and a forced fumble in nine games before being placed on IR. He hopes to be ready for May practices, and will head into training camp primed for a productive year as the team's starting right cornerback.

02/06/17LBSean WeatherspoonAchillesQUESTIONABLEWeatherspoon (achilles) has been placed on the injured reserve.
