by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com

The Eagles have waived running back Matthew Tucker with a non-football injury, per ESPN.

Tucker spent the last two seasons with the team, but mostly on the practice squad. He did earn playing time in two games as a rookie in 2013, though with no rushing attempts.

Evan Mathis says free-agent negotiations will 'ramp up' shortly
by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com

With the start of training camp right around the corner, former Eagles Pro Bowl guard Evan Mathis has still yet to sign with a team. Well, there seems to be no panic from Mathis, who said during an interview with CBS Sports Radio on Wednesday negotiations with interested teams are “going to ramp up.”

“Exactly what my options are aren’t as clear as they will be in a week or two,” Mathis said, per The Miami Herald.

The Dolphins appear to be one of several teams interested in signing the 10-year veteran. Mathis played seven games for the Dolphins in 2008.

“I haven’t missed anything,” said Mathis, who was released by the Eagles in June. “There’s no rush at all.”
