Bud Norris not an option to start Sunday
by Chris Towers |

Orioles pitcher Bud Norris may be available out of the bullpen for the final game of the first half Sunday, manager Buck Showalter told the Baltimore Sun Thursday.

Norris was considered a possible option to start Sunday's game against the Yankees, though it would have been on short rest after he started Wednesday. Instead, the team will look for another option to start, with Norris possibly available to piggyback if needed.

Norris returned from the disabled list Wednesday, after missing more than two weeks with a groin injury. He will likely slot back in the rotation after the All-Star break.
