Stubbs was called upon to pinch-hit in the eighth inning and delivered his second home run of the season; unfortunately, it only reduced his team's deficit to seven runs. The outfielder went 0 for 20 in April but is now 2 for 6 with two home runs in May.
Hundley's hitting streak is now up to 10 games and includes five multihit performances. He picked up his first RBI with a fifth-inning sacrifice fly and added another on a solo home run in the seventh. In the eighth, he knocked a double deep to center field to tally his third RBI for the game, which is a season high for the catcher.
Hundley has hit .343/.390/.529 with two home runs and eight RBI in 70 at-bats.
Votto was 0 for 2 with one strikeout in the game before being ejected. It is his fifth career ejection.
The Diamondbacks were able to jump out to a 9-0 lead by the end of the fourth inning, but Morneau was able to put his team on the board with a solo home run in the fifth before adding an RBI on a double in the bottom of the ninth to bring home the 20th and final run of the game.

Ahmed has had trouble finding offense early in the season, picking up just eight hits in 57 at-bats during April, but he was able to reach base safely multiple times Wednesday like almost everyone else in the Diamondbacks' lineup. Ahmed has hit .152/.253/.167 with four runs scored.
