Saints' Drew Brees: Struggles in loss to Texans
by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com

Brees completed 25 of 44 attempts for 228 yards and an interception in Sunday's loss to the Texans.

The Saints offense was held in check by the rejuvenated Texans defense, and Brees put up his second lowest yardage total of the season, while failing to connect on a touchdown pass for the first time. The veteran has struggled in the two outings since his statistical eruption in Weeks 8 and 9, with three interceptions and an average of less than 220 yards per game. Brees will attempt to get back on track in next week's home matchup with the first-place panthers.

Patriots' Dont'a Hightower: Removed with knee injury
by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com

Hightower left Sunday's game in Denver due to a knee injury.

Hightower was originally considered questionable to return, but he was on the sideline without a helmet after halftime. It is a good sign that he returned to the sideline, as opposed to hanging back in the trainer's room. Jerod Mayo is now staying on the field for passing downs, which could make him a viable IDP option if Hightower misses time beyond Sunday.

Predators' Shea Weber: Not living up to expectations
by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com

Weber was held pointless for the sixth straight game Friday against the Sabres. With just 10 points in 23 games, he's now on pace for a career-worst 35-point season.

Before you start to panic, fantasy owners, we think there's a silver lining here. To his credit, Weber does have six goals so far this season, which is almost halfway to last year's total of 15, and roughly on pace for the 23 he scored the season before that. So we know his much-feared slapshot is still finding twine with regularity. The real problem, however, is that his assist totals are down, and that's more a reflection of his teammates failing to convert his passes into goals. As a team, the Preds are one of the most offensively aggressive teams in the league, currently seventh in the league in shots per game (30.7), but they are converting on only 8.1% of those shots, which ranks them 19th in the league in that category. Bottom line, we believe as long as Weber and his mates continue to fire the puck with abandon, the goals should follow, and Weber's point production should get back on track. Keep him rolling like you normally would.

Knicks' Kevin Seraphin: Plays season-high 32 minutes Sunday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Kevin Seraphin recorded 14 points (7-10 FG), seven rebounds, four assists, one steal, and four blocks in 32 minutes during the New York Knicks ' 116-111 overtime loss versus the Rockets on Sunday.

Seraphin did give the ball away five times, but he played well in extended minutes on Sunday. Part of this likely had to do with Carmelo Anthony sitting out with an illness, but Seraphin has seen more than 10 minutes six times this year, so coach Derek Fisher clearly isn't afraid to call on Seraphin when he sees fit. Still, his previous season-high was 21 minutes, and he was averaging only nine minutes per game entering Sunday's contest.

Broncos' T.J. Ward: Exits with ankle injury
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

T.J. Ward left Sunday's game against the Patriots with an ankle injury and will miss the rest of the contest, according to Denver Broncos VP of Public Relations Patrick Smyth reports.

Ward was replaced by David Bruton, who appeared to be responsible for Scott Chandler's 11-yard touchdown. Ward left in the first quarter with just one tackle, giving him 57 for the season.
