They played well at New Orleans, especially in the second half, and the schedule gets easier now. They are a good 4-3 team.
10/27/2009125
Fresh off the Dallas loss, they head to New Orleans to play the Saints. A loss there, and they'll be thinking about the wild-card road.
10/20/200956
The next two weeks will be big for the Falcons. They go to Dallas and then play a Monday night game at New Orleans. Losing corner Brian Williams for the season will hurt.
10/13/200969
Matt Ryan and that passing game will be even better as the season moves along. Ryan is gaining more and more confidence and will get even more the rest of the way. They looked dominant at San Francisco.
10/06/200998
They better have worked on that run defense during the bye week. That will make or break the Falcons the rest of the way.
09/29/200983
They head to their bye off a bad loss at New England. They did nothing in the second half. The run defense has to play better.
09/22/200936
We'll know if they belong here when they go to New England next week and face an angry Patriots team. They better hope the defense tightens up. The offense can be explosive.
09/15/200967
The best sign from opening day was how well their defense played. If that stays, they will be tough to beat. Tony Gonzalez really adds another dimension to the offense.
09/08/20097-
They will be in a lot of shootouts in 2009. The offense will be better, but there are issues with the defense, especially the secondary.
07/28/200979
As Matt Ryan matures as a passer, the offense will be even better. The concern is in the secondary, especially at corner.

I am not pleased at the way this game turned out. It was a well played game.... On the Saints part, and just terrible mental lapses at the worst time on ours. ...(more)

Just holding a spot for all of my fellow posters to pile on after the game and tell us why our DB's caused Elam to miss those two FG's and Ryan to throw the picks and cost us the game.
