The Bears had a great draft and will be much improved on defense. They are being built just like John Fox likes: With defense as the focal point.
They took some steps forward last season in the first for John Fox as coach. Now they have to push for a playoff spot.
They made strides last year despite a lot of injures on offense. What do they do with Alshon Jeffrey in free agency?
They will likely lose offensive coordinator Adam Gase. That will be a tough hit to the offense.
John Fox has done a good job with this banged-up team. They compete weekly.
After a nice midseason, they've fallen on hard times. They just don't have the talent.
Robbie Gould has cost them two games and a chance to be in the playoff race. That's not a good look for the veteran kicker.
That was a bad loss at home to the 49ers. That can't happen when the playoffs were still possible.
John Fox has done a heck of a job with this team. They did the right thing keeping Jay Cutler, too.
They just don't have the talent yet, and injuries have crippled the offense. But they are competing against good teams, which is a good sign.
