The improvement of the defense to go with that passing game has really helped this team. They do have a lot of premium talent on the defensive side of the ball.
10/27/20091621
At 4-3, they're over .500 and that offense is playing good football. I still wonder about the pass defense, especially after what Alex Smith did in the second half.
10/20/20092121
Matt Schaub is putting up some big-time numbers, which is why they are 3-3. The defense has played better in the last six quarters, which is a good sign.
10/13/20092123
The defense continues to be a problem, although it did play better in the second half against the Cardinals. Now they have to go play a hot Bengals team on the road. That won't be easy
10/06/20092325
So there is a pulse for that defense? They have to hope the way they played against the Raiders carries over the rest of the way. Too bad they don't play the Raiders for 16 games, right?
09/29/20092518
They've used a lot of first-round picks on defensive players the past six years and they can't seem to stop anybody. What the heck is going on? Changing coordinators might not have been the answer. It's the players.
09/22/20091821
If they can play offense like they did against the Titans they will be tough for anybody they play. But that defense needs work.
09/15/20092117
So much for taking a big step forward this season. They were terrible against the Jets. They sure didn't look like a playoff team.
09/08/200917-
They aren't ready for their playoff breakthrough. Not in their division. I see another 8-8 season.
07/28/20091512
They have talent at key spots, but the deciding factor for their playoff chances will be how well they fill in around that talent. The secondary is a big concern.

As usual, it's a mixed bag with this Texans team. They finally managed to put two wins together, which is a nice change of pace. But I'm still reeling from the Jacksonville and Arizona games. This was supposed to be, by all accounts, the easy part of our schedule, and we came out at 4-3. I don't feel any threat from within the division outs ...(more)

First I want to say I am a Cowboys fan. No I am not a band wagon fan. Far from it. I just want to wish you good luck when you take on the undefeated Colts. I truely believe you have the better team. The Texans have played some ...(more)

and then there where two.  Casey had his knee scoped Monday and will miss the Colts games this weekend.  Leaving Houston with rookie Hill and veteran Dressen at the tight end position.
