If the playoffs started today, they'd be in. Wow. They aren't winning pretty, but they're finding a way.

Don't look now, but they really are in the playoff hunt. The schedule is really soft, which will help their chances.

They go to the second half at 4-4, which is a good sign for this young team. At some point, though, they have to win a game on the road like the one they have this week at the Jets.

They will be a .500 team at best. The defense isn't very good, so they will play a lot of high-scoring games. The good news is they have a winnable game against Kansas City this week.

They come out of their bye week with a chance to get over .500 if they can beat the Titans. The Chiefs come to Jacksonville after that, so 5-3 is possible.

They head to the bye at 3-3, which is better than most expected at that point. They need to spend the bye trying to find a pass rush.

They get the perfect tonic for their showing in Seattle -- the St. Louis Rams. But the Jaguars aren't very good on defense and they have no pass rush with only four sacks.

How far have they fallen since 2007? The real problems are on defense. They can't rush the passer, so the opposing quarterbacks have a field day. Just ask Kurt Warner.
So before there are over 9,000 posts on this board calling for Del Rio and Garrard's heads, I just wanted to give my two cents concerning where the Jaguars stand now. This loss hurt us in our playoff chances, no doubt. Coming out of this week 7-4 would have us tied with Denver atop the wildcard race (and possibly Pittsburgh if they win

The Jaguars just need to find the fastest dude in the draft and get him. Doesn't matter the position, just get him and hope he plays running back. Chris Johnson is a beast, mainly because he's fast as doo doo. Who else was holding on to their seats when the

Rashard Jennings had a monstrosity of a block in the fourth quarter. I'm surprised nobody said anything on any highlight reels. Shades of Mojo. I mean he absolutely crushed a dude.
It is time that the Jaguars draft a QB in the next draft. Every year I pray that we get a new QB but we don't, therefore we don't win many games. The years we have had good QB play we have done well. David Garrar
