They have a real hold on the division after sweeping the Packers. They really are a balanced team and Brett Favre is coming off a big game. There, I said it. Aside from the Steelers game, he is playing well.
10/27/200943
No longer among the ranks of the undefeated, they now head to play the Packers at Lambeau Field in Brett Favre's return. That won't be easy, that's for sure.
10/20/200934
Get ready for the champs. Coming off their big victory against Baltimore, they get another AFC North team this week. This one is on the road at Pittsburgh.
10/13/200944
They showed against St. Louis that they are veteran enough to not have letdowns. Now they get two tough ones, against Baltimore and then Pittsburgh. We'll know how good they are in three weeks.
10/06/200946
Brett Favre played lights out against the Packers on Monday night, but the key to that game was the defensive pressure. Jared Allen is making an early play to be the Defensive Player of the Year.
09/29/200967
At 3-0, they get a huge division test when Brett Favre faces his former team, the Packers. Start the hype. Oh, it did this past Sunday.
09/22/2009713
They've defeated two bad teams on the road, which was to be expected. The jury is still out. What happens when they have to throw to win?
09/15/20091316
As long as Adrian Peterson is running the way he did against Cleveland, does it really matter who plays quarterback? The defense is good enough that the Vikings don't need a lot of points.
09/08/200916-
Way too low, right? You know how I feel about the Brett Favre move. It doesn't make them that much better.
07/28/20091717
There is talent, but the passing game is lacking, no matter who throws it. Even with Favre, I just don't think there's enough.

(POLL)   So with the first half of the season complete, what is Percy Harvin's chances at Offensive Rookie of the Year?  I was worried about him as WR with so much talent in college are hit and miss.  He looks to have what it takes.  I haven't been this excited since ...(more)

Especially the PASS DEFENSE!

And I am not a fan of Leslie Frazier!  I think he is OVER-RATED.  The only good thing about our defense is that for the past 3 years - our run defense was - and still is - the best!  And that is because of the Williams Wall - not Leslie Frazier. They were in place before he became Defensive Coordinator.

I think our pass rush is g ...(more)

You guys know your football so I need some feedback on this point re the secondary, and the defense overall.

Here's my thought, I do NOT now believe that the the defense is playing soft in the second half(fourth quarter, whatever).
I believe it is running out of gas.Period.

The real strength of our Defense is the front four, the linebackers  are Ok, good competent g

1) A

2) B

3) C

4) D

I would have to say we get a A as Brett Favre came in late and still got us a great record with such little time working with our receivers.  The bad part of that is that we can only go down from there if we don't keep up our pace.  Also, the injury bug was s

OK, we're 7-1 at the bye and we have played well for the most part with a few hickups here and there in almost every game but I'm a little concerned about the rest of the schedule because the Vikings have started off great a number of times over the years and have faltered in the second half of some seasons. Don't really like what ...(more)
