They can show they are back with a road victory at Denver. The bye week gives them a little edge heading into that one, although Denver will be angry coming off its first loss.

The defense played its best game against Minnesota, which is a good sign heading to the bye. They get Denver coming out of it, which will be tough.

The best thing to come out of the Cleveland game is that the defense played a lot better. It will be a unit that gets a tough test against Adrian Peterson and Brett Favre on Sunday.

The pass rush finally showed up Sunday against the Lions, but that defense still isn't all the way back. The return of Troy Polamalu is badly needed.

They played well against San Diego, but there are still some issues that need to be worked out, mostly pressure from their outside rushers. Where is it?

Their defense is letting them down late in games. They miss Troy Polamalu in a big way, especially in the fourth quarter. The good thing is the running game showed some life in Cincinnati.

At some point, they need to get the running game going. Ben Roethlisberger is taking too many big hits. It's a huge game this week at Cincinnati. Do the champs fall to 1-2?

They played OK in the opener, but their offensive line at times was overmatched. That has to be a concern as they play on, especially since Roethlisberger took a lot of shots against the Titans.

This is the same team that won the Super Bowl last February. But trying to repeat, as we've seen over the years, isn't easy. The offensive line has to play better for that to be a reality.

Will the off-the-field trouble with Ben Roethlisberger have an impact? I doubt it, but you never know.
