Mike Singletary has that defense playing well. And the offense isn't making big-time mistakes. That's his stamp on this team.

They're one Brett Favre laser away from being 3-0. The defense is really making strides. They have to play without Frank Gore for a couple of weeks, which hurts.

They are playing some impressive defense, which we might have expected with Mike Singletary as the coach. Don't you still wonder if they can stay up here? Frank Gore is a beast.

Maybe they're better than expected. That defense did a nice job against Arizona. Shaun Hill is a game manager, but at some point he's going to have to win games. We'll see.
