BATTLE OF THE WEEK
George Gause vs. Constantin Ritzmann for the No. 4 defensive end spot -- Both players are making plays in practice and in the preseason games. Ritzmann took a big step forward with two more sacks against Green Bay's second teamers, giving him four in two games.

OTHER BATTLE FRONTS
Josh Reed, Sam Aiken, Jonathan Smith, Drew Haddad, George Wilson for the No. 3 receiver job -- It's wide open with rookie sensation Roscoe Parrish out indefinitely. Reed, Haddad and Wilson each made big catches against the Packers, although Reed did drop a sure TD pass.

Jabari Greer vs. Eric King and Therrian Fontenot at No. 3 corner - Second-year man Greer had his second interception in as many games, making a nice break on an Aaron Rodgers pass.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
QB J.P. Losman - He was Mr. Excitement in his home debut at Ralph Wilson Stadium, rushing five times for 36 yards and a touchdown and completing 7 of 14 passes for 59 yards while leading three scoring drives. His parents, grandparents and sister were in attendance, making it a dream evening.

ROOKIE REPORT
WR Roscoe Parrish is out indefinitely after injuring his right wrist in practice and undergoing surgery. The club believes he'll return at some point this year. He's watching practice with his arm in a sling and a cast runs from his wrist to his mid-forearm. ... TE Kevin Everett, who tore an ACL in mini-camp and underwent surgery, is on PUP. He's in camp watching from the sidelines, but also remains out indefinitely. ... C Ray Preston is working with the second team at center and right guard and doing well. ... CB Eric King is working as Buffalo's dime corner and is getting a lot of repetitions with veteran Kevin Thomas (knee) sidelined. He had one tackle and one pass breakup against Green Bay. ... OT Justin Geisinger is running with the third unit. ... RB Lionel Gates had seven carries for 36 yards against Green Bay and scored on a nifty 14-yard sprint around end. He's very close to locking up a roster spot.

INJURY REPORT
RB Willis McGahee sat out two days of practice last week with an undisclosed right leg injury, but he was able to play against Green Bay, gaining 32 yards on nine carries and scoring on a six-yard run. McGahee injured his right knee/thigh against the Colts.

TE Rod Trafford had swelling on the knee and missed some practice time but returned against the Packers.

WR Eric Moulds suffered bruised ribs leaping for a high pass from J.P. Losman in the second quarterback against Green Bay and did not return. He's expected to miss a good share of practice time this week.

TE Tim Euhus suffered a strained pectoral muscle after a short catch against the Packers.
