REPORT CARD VS. RAMS

PASSING OFFENSE
A -- What more can be said about Tony Romo? He passed for 339 yards and two touchdowns against the Rams. It was the second-highest passing yardage game of his career. He also has topped the 300-yard mark three times in four games this year. Patrick Crayton had a huge game with seven catches for 185 yards and two touchdowns.

RUSHING OFFENSE
B -- Julius Jones scored his first rushing touchdown since last November. Jones, Marion Barber and Tyson Thompson combined for 149 yards on the ground. What shouldn't be overlooked is an offensive line that wears down opponents at the end of the games when the Cowboys get their most yardage on the ground.

PASS DEFENSE
A -- The Cowboys held Marc Bulger to 114 yards passing. They also sacked him three times and intercepted him once. Greg Ellis had 1.5 sacks in his first game back. DeMarcus Ware had one sack.

RUSH DEFENSE
A -- The Cowboys completely shut down the Rams on the ground. Of course, it was a Rams team that played without Steven Jackson. But still they did what they were supposed to do with ends Chris Canty and Marcus Spears having their best games of the season.

SPECIAL TEAMS
C -- The Cowboys gave up an 85-yard punt return for a touchdown to Dante Hall. The Cowboys were also creased on kickoff returns by Hall, who averaged 30.2 yards per return.

COACHING
A -- This could have been a trap game. If not for Romo's excellence, the Cowboys might have been in a pickle. But credit the coaches for keeping the Cowboys focused, especially on defense, where the Cowboys have improved every week. They were dominant against the Rams. Also keep in mind, the Cowboys recorded 502 yards total offense.
