--QB Chad Henne had to run a lap after blowing a snap count. He said he, "deserved it," and the last time he had a similar punishment was back in high school for, "cussing."

--DT Anthony Toribio was the only college free agent tryout player signed so far by the Dolphins after just one practice last weekend. The 6-foot-1, 305-pound Miami native said he couldn't believe it when Parcells told him he made the team because of his hustle and conditioning. "I was like, 'Man, the Big Tuna told me what really got me on this team was my hustle and my conditioning. That's a pretty big compliment coming from the big guy."

--DE Phillip Merling seemed to still be struggling with his surgically repaired hernia at last weekend's rookie minicamp, however, the overall No. 32 pick of the draft said that he, "naturally," walks with a limp.

--WR Justin Wynn was one of several college free agent receivers signed by the Dolphins last week, but he's the only one who hadn't played organized football since 2004 at Grand Rapids (Mich.) Community College so he could work two jobs to take care of his mother and siblings.

"I took on the challenge. My mom was laid off at the factory and I didn't want to see her frown and stress. Now, look where I am. God blessed me," Wynn said.

--K Radamez Rubio Gaytan, an unsigned free agent whose only kicking experience came at college in Mexico City, had a translator following him around at practice last weekend. "The coaches tell me I have potential." If Gaytan, 26, can't catch on with an NFL team, then he can always fall back on his other talent. He's a chef, who specializes in "Mediterranean fusion," fish dishes.

--DE Jason Taylor is still barely alive in the "Dancing with the Stars" competition, and Sparano said that the widely reported feud over the six-time Pro Bowler missing voluntary workouts has been, "overblown."

"I think it's been overblown. I've said this before; I said it several weeks ago. I understand what Jason is doing. Jason and I have spoke and that's really all that matters. Jason and I stay in contact. As long as I know what's going on with Jason and he knows what's going on with me, I think we're in good shape," Sparano said.

QUOTE TO NOTE
"Out here on the field, I am really going a million miles an hour and my interaction with him was minimal out here when we were out on the field. I think yesterday he kind of yelled at me one point and said, 'you're starting to sound like somebody else I know.' I think he was referring to himself and that is not a bad thing." -- Tony Sparano on Dolphins intimidating czar Bill Parcells' watching practices last weekend but not interfering.

I have been a Dolphins since 1980................I am upset just like everyone else this year...........especially after last year.  We do have to look and the strength of schedule this year verses last year plus.................We are playing the best teams in the league.............We (in my opinion) have been in every game ...(more)

1 The pass rush for Miami will get sacks and alot of pressure on Brady.Miami is more physical than last year.Jason Ferguson said it himself “We are communicating better than we did last year.” Paul Soaliai,Randy Starks, are pushing the O-lines back alot.Ferguson will be fresh now bc the D-line can rotate him now instead of havin ...(more)

I wanted to take the time to say that I have been plesently suprised at our team this season, not the record, but the WAY we play. WAIT, before you pass judgement understand that I only expected 8 wins from this team, and I think we can get 9. There are a couple of things that have come to my attention in the first half of the season:

1. Another great draft for the Tuna- I simply Looove o

There are a lot of reasons to feel good after the Dolphins disposed of the Buffalo Bills. Perhaps the biggest reason is a group of young players who are rapidly coming of age.

The future, you could say, is here.

It is here in the form of rookie cornerbacks ...(more)

Anyone think that once again we are "saving" our best offense for the Patriots again this year? It wouldn't surprise me, but if not I for one am getting pretty sick with our conservative and scared playcalling.

I saw many times yesterday in critical passing situations that we would have only one reciever on the field

As bad as we played on offense we managed to win this game. This was a must win game for the Dolphins and they found a way, that says a lot.

QB: Chad Henne looked average at best. He made some nice throws, but he didn't move the ball and put up enough offensi ...(more)

Ok so this weekends lose to the New England Patriots, was kinda hurtful, we played pretty well most of the games but couldnt close it out when it mattered the most. Our 3-5 record isnt that bad, really we have 3 up comming games that we should be able to win, maybe the Carolina Panther ...(more)

Dolphin Nation - Not a Knock on you guys but for the sake of the NFL I hope to see a Patriots Touchdown that happened because of a screwed assignment or missed tackle by Motor Mouth Joey Porter.

Its simple, the Dolphins can generate offense but are lacking the "D" to finish teams off. This season if the defense could hold opponents under twenty points, the Dolphins are at least 5-3. Against the Patriots this Sunday after an awesome ten minute, touchdown scoring, dominating driv ...(more)

You have to love how Chad Henne threw the ball today. The futuer looks bright for this kid. I feel like we are only a few players away from a legitimate super bowl contender but we found our QB. Nice job today despite the loss.

So get this... J Peezy hates the Patriots! Wow! This is news to me!
BUT... It's not because he's a member of the Dolphins. This "Natural Hate" actually stems from when he was on the Patriots. From when the Patriots, I know this may sound false and slanderous, cheated.
