--Defensive end Jason Taylor was acquired by the Redskins in exchange for a second-round pick in 2009 and a sixth-round pick in 2010. It ends an offseason-long drama surrounding Taylor, who never meshed with new team president Bill Parcells. With Taylor out of the picture, Quentin Moses and Charlie Anderson are expected to compete for the starting weak-side job. Moses is making the switch from defensive end.

--Rookie DE Kendall Langford agreed to a four-year deal last week, leaving the team with only two unsigned draft picks from this year's class. QB Chad Henne, the overall 57th pick, and DE Phillip Merling have yet to sign. Langford was the 66th overall pick, and a three-year starter at Hampton with 236 tackles and 23.5 sacks.

--Dolphins coach Tony Sparano seem to take umbrage with the overwhelming belief around the league that Bill Parcells will be calling the shots this year during a recent radio interview on WQAM-560. "They should come by the facility and take a look at me rolling out of there in the late evening and coming in the early morning. Those things don't bother me. I know what goes on in the office. Myself, Jeff (Ireland) and Bill make our decisions together. I know what's happening out there. My team knows what's happening. That's what important to me, that the guys on the field know what's happening out there and where it's coming from," Sparano said.

--QB Chad Henne told his local paper that he popped the question to longtime girlfriend Brittany Hartman, and the couple is now engaged. "She thought I was joking around. But I was like, 'No, I don't think so,' " Henne told the Reading (Pa.) Eagle.

--GM Jeff Ireland isn't done remaking the Dolphins roster. "I think we've accomplished as much as we can at this point. But it's not over yet," Ireland said during a recent radio interview on WQAM-560. "If a player comes available that can help us, I can promise you we'll pick that player up." The Dolphins have shown interest in former Browns center LeCharles Bentley.

--The Dolphins may not be pretty to watch but their cheerleaders are. For the second time, Dolphins cheerleader Lilly, will go to New York and pose for the Fall NFL Preview issue of Maxim Magazine. "The first time I was in the magazine was as a rookie back in 2006," Lilly said. "I had just made the team and the next thing I know I'm on my way to New York for the photo shoot. It was such a crazy experience, but I think it turned out well. I'm hopeful that the photos will be just as beautiful this time."

QUOTE TO NOTE
"Jason Taylor? Honestly, when we booked him, we figured he'd be out in week 2. A 7-foot football player is not somebody you think is going to have the grace and agility to do what he did." -- ABC Entertainment President Steve McPherson said of Taylor making it to the finals of "Dancing With the Stars."

I have been a Dolphins since 1980................I am upset just like everyone else this year...........especially after last year.  We do have to look and the strength of schedule this year verses last year plus.................We are playing the best teams in the league.............We (in my opinion) have been in every game ...(more)

1 The pass rush for Miami will get sacks and alot of pressure on Brady.Miami is more physical than last year.Jason Ferguson said it himself “We are communicating better than we did last year.” Paul Soaliai,Randy Starks, are pushing the O-lines back alot.Ferguson will be fresh now bc the D-line can rotate him now instead of havin ...(more)

I wanted to take the time to say that I have been plesently suprised at our team this season, not the record, but the WAY we play. WAIT, before you pass judgement understand that I only expected 8 wins from this team, and I think we can get 9. There are a couple of things that have come to my attention in the first half of the season:

1. Another great draft for the Tuna- I simply Looove o

There are a lot of reasons to feel good after the Dolphins disposed of the Buffalo Bills. Perhaps the biggest reason is a group of young players who are rapidly coming of age.

The future, you could say, is here.

It is here in the form of rookie cornerbacks ...(more)

Anyone think that once again we are "saving" our best offense for the Patriots again this year? It wouldn't surprise me, but if not I for one am getting pretty sick with our conservative and scared playcalling.

I saw many times yesterday in critical passing situations that we would have only one reciever on the field

As bad as we played on offense we managed to win this game. This was a must win game for the Dolphins and they found a way, that says a lot.

QB: Chad Henne looked average at best. He made some nice throws, but he didn't move the ball and put up enough offensi ...(more)

Ok so this weekends lose to the New England Patriots, was kinda hurtful, we played pretty well most of the games but couldnt close it out when it mattered the most. Our 3-5 record isnt that bad, really we have 3 up comming games that we should be able to win, maybe the Carolina Panther ...(more)

Its simple, the Dolphins can generate offense but are lacking the "D" to finish teams off. This season if the defense could hold opponents under twenty points, the Dolphins are at least 5-3. Against the Patriots this Sunday after an awesome ten minute, touchdown scoring, dominating driv ...(more)

You have to love how Chad Henne threw the ball today. The futuer looks bright for this kid. I feel like we are only a few players away from a legitimate super bowl contender but we found our QB. Nice job today despite the loss.
