--Ironically, the Giants find themselves in an almost identical position to the one in which they found themselves on Dec. 13, 1998, when the undefeated Denver Broncos came to Giants Stadium boasting a 13-0 record. The Giants engineered an upset, winning in the final minutes on a TD pass to WR Amani Toomer, 20-16. Toomer is still a member of the Giants' starting offensive unit.

--QB Eli Manning is not considering sitting down for this game. "Right now," he says, "our mindset is starting and playing all game and doing our best to win. I think teams have figured out a little bit of what they're doing, and now it's up to us to find more answers and win the game."

--The Giants lead the NFL in sacks with 52, and the Patriots are second with 46. "That's a strong pass-rushing team," said Manning. "We need to make sure of our blocking schemes."

--WR Amani Toomer, who had five of Manning's seven completions last week for 99 of his 111 yards gained: "We came back and won that game (in Buffalo) because this team will never quit. Now we can win one more before the season is over, and we have every intention of doing so."

--Giants head coach Tom Coughlin and Patriots head coach Bill Belichick spent time together on the Giants staff when Bill Parcells was the head coach (198801990), and actually worked with each other since Coughlin was the WRs coach and Belichick handled the DBs.

BY THE NUMBERS
32 -- The unusually high discrepancy between TDs scored by the Patriots (71) and the Giants (39). In fact, New England WR Randy Moss has caught more TD passes from QB Tom Brady (21) than Giants QB Eli Manning has thrown (19) to his entire team.

QUOTE TO NOTE
"I never questioned it. I know you people (the media) did, but I never did. But thanks for asking." -- Giants head coach Tom Coughlin, on whether he got satisfaction from seeing that his core values still work with respect to coaching a team.

Last thing I'd like to get off my chest for today...Was that moron really getting in the ear of the offense?  Please tell me I was dreaming when I saw that...

The offense has to play catch up football every damn week thanks to an pee-wee football defense we have...

Osi yelling at someone?  The guy has what 5 sacks?  Worse then the actual number of sacks is that

Get strong win a Superbowl & Fall apart.

There is no real excuse for it. However, The Giants lost Spag, the defense suffers, No Suprise there.

Plax being Plax end up in Jail, anyone really suprised there?

The most alarming thing about the Giants this year is that its not one thing, they are bad in a lot of spots (Hutched)

I read that on another post and I think that is really the answer.  Anyway, here is my take:

I like Eli Manni

we all love the good old soldier Pierce, but we all know he was never that fast, but made up with smarts, but now his even more diminished speed (age) has made it too much to make up with knowledge no longer.

not saying Chase is Flash (fitting name since he's always BEHIND the runner, chasing...), but Blackburnn cannot be slower than Pierce.  or perhaps Clark can move to MLB where

over the years, the Giants have been successful due to talent and great coordinators (and some OC, but not as much).  it seems like we've become the Kansas City Royals of producing coordinator talent for a couple of years and letting them go without even looking to see if they'll make a better head coach then the current

I really think Derrick Ward is the obvious missing cog for the Giants. I can't believe I haven't heard anyone mention this when watching all of the morons(experts) on tv. Also, the coaching staff really needs to stop worrying that

Dear Giants Fans:     It's time!   With 5 games remaining against wild card  teams and division leaders,  it's time for the players to stop talking macho, and just play the game like a pack of wounded animals.  It's time for the O and D coordinators to let it all hang out.  If they don't, it ...(more)

Well at least the Giants weren't the only "once great" team to get azz rap.ed by the Saints this season. Wow, the Patsies are getting boned worse than the Giants did. Seriously, when did the Pats sign ...(more)

Dear Giant Fans:      While it is still mathematically possible for the G-men to sneak into the play-offs, we must control our pessimistic dooms-day feelings.  If the Giants can find a way to beat the " Boys " this week, they will be only 1 game behind in the loss column, however, will win the tie breaker if Da ...(more)

What is worse, getting assaulted by an overrated team or being an overrated team?
Didn't we all know at least a bit going into this game that it was by no means going to be a gimmie, even with the way the Broncos had been playing and the heavy favoring of the Giants because of t

Would be losing the next 2 to go 6-7, then beating the lowly Redskins and Panthers and a Viking team that's liable to be resting the whole team, and finishing 9-7. Imagine the idiocy if it plays out like that, all we will hear is how the ...(more)

(POLL) Would like to gauge what fans think the biggest dissapointment has been so far in the season.

Eli was expected to have a huge year after the huge contract but thus far as been an average to good quarterbak as far as $100 million status goes anyway.

Jacobs was expected to be a top 5 back but has looked hesitant at times and regressed from last year.

The defens
