Raiders report: Strategy and personnel
--CB Tyrone Poole, an 11-year veteran cut by New England last week, signed a two-year deal with Oakland.
--S Derrick Gibson re-signed with Oakland. He had been cut before free agency so the Raiders could avoid a $10 million cap hit next season.
--OG Corey Hulsey, an unrestricted free agent, re-signed with Oakland.
TEAM NEEDS
1. Quarterback: Kerry Collins has been cut, Daunte Culpepper is Miami and there is no viable starter at the NFL's most important position.
2. Guard: The signing of Toniu Fonoti fell through and the Raiders remain weak at a position that allowed constant pressure up the middle last season.
3. Safety: The loss of nickel back Renaldo Hill in free agency and Jarrod Cooper's status as an unrestricted free agency makes it imperative Oakland find some new blood.
