Eagles report: Strategy and personnel
REPORT CARD VS. SEAHAWKS
PASSING OFFENSE
F -- A.J. Feeley threw four of the worst interceptions you're ever going to see, including two that set up first-half Seahawks touchdowns and another with 14 seconds left that shot dead a comeback chance. In his two starts, he has averaged an interception every 12 attempts.
RUSHING OFFENSE
C -- Brian Westbrook opened the second half with 8- and 29-yard runs, then was muzzled by both the Seahawks and his own offensive coordinator, Marty Mornhinweg. He had just seven carries for 18 yards in the final 26 1/2 minutes. The offensive line came up small at the end of the first half when the Eagles failed to punch it in from the 1.
PASS DEFENSE
C-minus -- The Eagles gave up two TD passes, including a 45-yard catch-and-run to Nate Burleson who badly embarrassed CB Lito Sheppard on the play. LBs Omar Gaither and Takeo Spikes both dropped potential interceptions.
RUSH DEFENSE
D-minus -- CB Sheldon Brown still is looking for the jock he got faked out of on Maurice Morris' 45-yard third-quarter touchdown run. DE Trent Cole and CB Will James both got caught inside on Shaun Alexander's first-quarter touchdown run around left end.
SPECIAL TEAMS
B-minus -- Westbrook almost saved the game with a late 64-yard punt return, but Feeley's fourth interception negated it. The Eagles gave up a 36-yard punt return to Burleson that set up a second-quarter TD. David Akers missed a 48-yard field-goal attempt.
COACHING
D -- Rain, sleet, freezing temperatures. Does this sound like the kind of day that you should be calling 46 pass plays? No. But that didn't stop coach Andy Reid and his offensive coordinator, Mornhinweg. Feeley ended up throwing four crushing interceptions.
