"At first, I thought he was veteran from another team joining us," Skelton said. "He's pretty talented and he can fly. I reached back to throw a 'go' route and underthrew him. He's got sure hands so it looks positive for him."

Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald finished with nine receptions for 149 yards in Week 17 against the Seahawks, but apparently suffered a lung injury in the 23-20 win. Fitzgergald's father, Larry Fitzgerald Sr., tweeted after the game that his son suffered a lung injury in the contest and was spitting up blood on the sideline. He also added that Fitzgerlad will undergo an MRI on Monday. However, the team said the 28-year-old underwent X-rays following the game, which came back negative. Fitzgerald did meet with the media after the game and did not mention anything regarding his injury.

Wells wrote "time to go under the knife" on Tuesday morning, but he did not specify the nature of his operation. Wells played most of the season with a lingering knee injury, and he only missed Week 3 and Week 17, which was a meaningless game for the Cardinals. Coach Ken Whisenhunt said following Week 17 that Wells played most of the year on "one leg."

Cardinals QB John Skelton for almost 275 yards and a touchdown in Week 17 against the Seahawks. Skelton, who once again started in place of the injured Kevin Kolb, was able to hook up with Todd Heap on a 13-yard scoring strike in the third quarter. He completed 22 of his 40 pass attempts for 271 yards in the 23-20 victory, but was picked off once on the afternoon. Skelton also racked up 19 yards on the ground and completed a pass to eight different receivers in the contest. He finished with a QB rating of 74.1.

Arizona LB Paris Lenon left in the first quarter of Week 16 at Cincinnati with an apparent wrist injury. He is questionable to return. Lenon registered one tackle before departing. LB Stewart Bradley replaced Lenon in the lineup for the Cardinals.
