Arizona DL Darnell Dockett (ankle) has been listed as probable for the team's Week 9 game against the Bears. Dockett was limited in practice on both Thursday and Friday after missing practice on Wednesday.

The Cardinals announced Friday that they released the following players: LB Chase Bullock, FB Tim Castille, CB Jameel Dowling, DT Kellen Dykes, DE Alex Field, CB Wilrey Fontenot, DB Aaron Francisco, WR Ed Gant, LB Victor Hobson, LB David Holloway, WR Onrea Jones, DT Rodney Leisle, FB Reagan Maui'a, QB Tyler Palko, TE Leonard Pope, WR Steve Sanders and RB Chris Vincent.

Cardinals LB Chike Okeafor totaled two tackles and one sack during a Week 6 win against the Seahawks. It was his first sack since Week 1.

Arizona DB Bryant McFadden was active for Friday's preseason game against the Packers. He made a tackle in the game.

The Vikings released DB Colt Anderson, QB John David Booty, FB Nehemiah Broughton, DE Martail Burnett, DE Otis Grigsby, S De’von Hall, LB David Herron, DT Antoine Holmes, RB Ian Johnson, DT Tremaine Johnson, CB Marcus McCauley, TE Garrett Mills, WR Nick Moore, TE Jake Nordin, WR Vinny Perretta, DB Marcus Walker and WR Bobby Williams on Saturday.

Cardinals WR Anquan Boldin was listed as limited in practice Friday as he worked on his sprained ankle and was listed as questionable for Week 9 at Chicago. However, the official team Web site reported that he looked pretty good in practice and didn't appear to have a major setback after re-injuring the ankle last week. Head coach Ken Whisenhunt said Boldin will be a game-time decision based on how he looks in pre-game warmups. The web site speculates that Boldin has a good chance to play Sunday.

The Cardinals' list of inactives for Week 8 against the Cardinals includes WR Early Doucet, TE Stephen Spach, DL Kenny Iwebema, TE Dominique Byrd, DB Rashad Johnson and QB Brian St. Pierre.

The Arizona Cardinals have released offensive lineman Elton Brown, signed free-agent offensive lineman Jeremy Bridges to a one-year contract, and added four free agents to their practice squad. Filling out the eight-man practice squad on Tuesday are cornerback Rashad Barksdale, outside linebacker Chris Harrington, middle linebacker Lee Robinson and fullback Fui Vakapuna. All were recently cut from other NFL teams.

On Tuesday, RB Darius Walker and LB Kelly Poppinga were signed to the Rams' practice squad and S David Roach and FB Russ Weil were released from the Rams' practice squad.

Cardinals QB Brian St. Pierre, DB Greg Toler, DB Rashad Johnson, LB Reggie Walker, TE Stephen Spach and TE Dominique Byrd have all been ruled inactive for Week 6 at Seattle.

Arizona Cardinals fans are wondering where all of the big plays have gone. The dynamic offense that carried the Cardinals to the Super Bowl has morphed into one that has to plunk a short pass here and there to move the ball downfield. Then again, the bar was set very high. Remember Larry Fitzgerald had TD catches of 42 yards against Atlanta in the first round, 29 yards against Carolina in the conference semifinals, 62 yards against Philadelphia in the NFC championship game and 64 yards against Pittsburgh in the Super Bowl. Anquan Boldin caught a 71-yarder for a touchdown against Atlanta. Kurt Warner completed 92 of 135 passes for 1,147 yards and 11 touchdowns, with three interceptions, in the four postseason contests. "It seemed like every time we dialed one up we had an opportunity at it," Warner said after Wednesday's practice.

Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald had 66 yards receiving Week 8 against the Panthers, his second-lowest single-game total of the season, but he led the team in a game QB Kurt Warner struggled with five interceptions. He finished with six receptions.

Cardinals RB Tim Hightower, who had 12 receptions in Week 1 but no more than five in any game since, had eight for 57 yards Week 8 against the Panthers. He also had a touchdown for the fourth straight game and the fifth time in six games, scoring on a 1-yard lunge in the fourth quarter. He finished with eight carries for 39 yards.

The Arizona Republic reports that Cody Brown will be placed on injured reserve soon. Brown is out for the season with a dislocated left wrist.

The Cardinals have placed defensive tackle Keilen Dykes on the practice squad injured reserve list with a biceps injury. The club also signed defensive tackle Antoine Holmes to the practice squad.

Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt said RB Jason Wright dislocated his right thumb so badly Sunday against Carolina that bone was protruding through the skin. The Cardinals' medical staff put it back in place, sewed up the cut and Wright returned to the game.

Thumb - Probable for Week 9 at Chicago

The Cardinals liste WR Steve Breaston as probable for Week 9 at Chicago as he continues to practice with a knee injury. He's expected to be fine for the game, however as he hasn't missed a game since Week 1 and has at least four catches in all but one game this season.

Arizona DB Antrel Rolle (foot) was limited in his participation at practice all week in preparation for Week 9 at Chicago. Rolle has been suffering from this foot injury for a few weeks now but it isn't keeping him out of games.

Cardinals rookie RB Beanie Wells, who looked like he gained ground on Tim Hightower with his 14 carries for 67 yards last week, again played a secondary role to Hightower in Week 8 against the Panthers. He led the team with 47 rushing yards, but on only eight carries. Hightower, meanwhile had 16 total touches, including eight carries and eight catches.

Cardinals LB Karlos Dansby, who entered the game with 39 tackles all season, recorded 12, including seven solo, against the Panthers in Week 8.

The Arizona Cardinals signed linebacker Brandon Renkart to the practice squad Wednesday and released linebacker Lee Robinson from the practice squad. Renkart was an undrafted free agent out of Rutgers and spent last season on the New York Jets' practice squad. He was with the Jets this preseason before being released Sept. 6 in their final roster cut.

Cardinals RB LaRod Stephens-Howling had just one catch Week 8 against the Panthers, but it went 14 yards for a touchdown.

Cardinals FB Justin Green (knee) was placed on injured reserve. He was injured on the first day of training camp.

Free-agent cornerback Ralph Brown re-signed with the Arizona Cardinals on Wednesday, agreeing to a one-year deal. Brown played in all 16 games for Arizona last season, with 23 tackles - 17 solo - and one interception. The eight-year NFL veteran has also played for the New York Giants, Minnesota Vikings and Cleveland Browns. Terms weren't disclosed.

The Cardinals listed the following players as inactive for Week 13 against Seattle: Brian St. Pierre (3rd QB), DL Matt Ware, DL Travis LaBoy, OL Elliot Vallejo, OL Brandon Keith, WR Anquan Boldin, DL Kenny Iwebema and DL Gabe Watson.

Defensive tackle Darnell Dockett sat out Arizona's practice on Wednesday but expects to play in the Cardinals' game Sunday at Chicago. Dockett has been bothered by a sore ankle and neck. Linebacker Gerald Hayes also didn't practice Wednesday because of back spasms.

Back - Questionable for Week 9 at Chicago

The Cardinals selected Illinois DE Will Davis with a sixth-round pick in the 2009 draft. Davis is coming off a sour senior year with the Illini but has some athleticism.

Cardinals DL Bertrand Berry tallied a sack during a Week 6 win against the Seahawks. He has a sack in three of five games.

Arizona DB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie is currently dealing with a slight injury to his finger. He was able to practice in full all week, however, and is not expected to miss the team's Week 9 game at Chicago.
