Atlanta TE Justin Peelle got the start against the Redskins in Week 9 but did not make any stats. The Falcons saw RB Verron Haynes and TE Keith Zinger play in the game but not register stats. Backup QB Chris Redman did not play.

The Falcons signed S Jamaal Fudge on Tuesday after placing DB Brian Williams on the IR. Fudge played with Atlanta in 2008 and returns to the team after being released following training camp.

Falcons LB Michael Boley, who last year was considered a player the Falcons could try to sign long-term, lost his starting job Week 15 against the Buccaneers to career reserve Coy Wire. Coach Mike Smith, however, wouldn't indicate if the decision was because of problems on the field, off the field or both. Boley still faces domestic violence charges in nearby Gwinnett County for an incident with his wife at their home seven months ago.

The Falcons listed DL Jamaal Anderson among their inactives for their Wild Card game at Arizona on Saturday. He had missed practice all week with an ankle injury.

Atlanta K Jason Elam finished the Week 9 win over Washington with seven points scored. He went 1 for 1 on field goals with his lone make coming from 33 yards out. He went 4 for 4 on PATs as well.

The Falcons' list of inactives for Week 8 at New Orleans includes QB John Parker Wilson, DB Antoine Harris, RB Jason Snelling, LB Spencer Adkins and DL Thomas Johnson.

The Falcons released WR Troy Bergeron, RB Thomas Brown, WR Robert Ferguson, LB Robert James, WR Aaron Kelly, DE Maurice Lucas, CB William Middleton, TE Jason Rader, QB D.J. Shockley, DT Vance Walker and LB Jamie Winborn on Saturday to get down to the roster maximum.

The Atlanta Falcons signed free agent running back Aaron Stecker, placed safety William Moore on injured reserve, placed cornerback Glenn Sharpe on practice squad-injured and signed safety Eric Brock to the practice squad.

Hamstring - IR. Out for the season

The Seattle Times reports the Seahawks released long snapper Bryan Pittman after he suffered an injury to his finger while moving his belongings to the Seattle area. The door isn't closed on a potential return to Seattle's roster once Pittman is healed, but Kevin Houser will have first crack at the snapping job after being signed last week.

The following Falcons did not record an offensive statistic in Week 5 at Green Bay: QB Chris Redman, TE Ben Hartsock, RB Jason Snelling, LS Mike Schneck, WR Adam Jennings and WR Brian Finneran.

The Giants listed K Lawrence Tynes, RB Danny Ware, DB Sam Madison, DL Jeremy Clark, DL Leger Douzable and DL Jerome McDougle among their inactives for Week 14 against the Eagles.

The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports that second-year WR Harry Douglas is out for the year after tearing the ACL in his left knee on Wednesday. He will not play this season. "It's disappointing to have Harry's season end before it got started," head coach Mike Smith said.

Atlanta signed the following players to its practice squad on Sunday: WR Noriaki Kinoshita who serves as the International practice squad player, TE Keith Zinger, WR Eric Weems, DBs Glenn Sharpe and Eric Brock and DE Brandon Miller.

Quarterback D.J. Shockley, Atlanta's seventh-round draft pick in 2006, defensive tackle Vance Walker, a seventh-round draft pick this year, are among eight players signed to the Falcons' practice squad. The Falcons cut Shockley, the former Georgia quarterback, and Walker, who played at Georgia Tech, on Saturday. Also selected to the practice squad on Sunday were offensive linemen Jose Valdez and Michael Butterworth, linebacker Robert James, receiver Troy Bergeron and cornerback Glenn Sharpe. Rookie John Parker Wilson of Alabama is left as the No. 3 quarterback behind Matt Ryan and Chris Redman.

Atlanta DT Jonathan Babineaux came into the Week 9 game against Washington with 14 tackles and 1.5 sacks on the season. He went off on the Redskins for 10 tackles and 2.5 sacks in Week 9 alone.

Falcons cornerback Brian Williams will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury suffered in Sunday night's win over the Chicago Bears. Coach Mike Smith said Monday that Williams tore the anterior cruciate ligament "and some other things" in his right knee. Williams landed awkwardly on his right knee while defending a pass to Bears tight end Greg Olsen in the end zone in the fourth quarter. Williams earned a starting job after signing with the Falcons on Sept. 6. He had 15 tackles this season, with an interception, a blocked punt, and a fumble recovery he returned 53 yards.

Falcons CB Tye Hill had the game of his season in Week 9 in a win over Washington. Hill's 62-yard interception return for a touchdown in the 1st quarter was the first of his career. Hill finished with the pick and zero tackles.

Atlanta TE Tony Gonzalez led the Falcons in receiving in the Week 9 win over Washington. The Redskins have the No. 2 pass defense in the NFL but Matt Ryan still found Gonzalez in the end zone for a 2-yard TD pass in the 1st quarter. Gonzalez finished with five catches for 41 yards and the score.

Lawrence Sidbury, a fourth-round draft pick from Richmond, had two sacks and took snaps with the first-team defense in Atlanta's 20-13 win at St. Louis last week. He's also been learning from John Abraham about how to be a great pass rusher. No one with the Falcons is ready to say Sidbury is competing with Jamaal Anderson and Chauncey Davis for the left defensive end spot opposite Abraham, but head coach Mike Smith said the rookie is on the right track. "Lawrence definitely will have an opportunity as he becomes more comfortable with our scheme to compete for the other defensive end position," Smith said.

Atlanta DB Chris Houston was able to play in Saturday's preseason game against the Chargers and made four tackles. He was considered questionable for the game with a hamstring issue.

Falcons punter Michael Koenen missed two long field goals at the Titans in Week 5.

In the Falcons' Week 3 loss at the Patriots, notable defensive players for Fantasy included: LB Curtis Lofton (19 total tackles), LB Mike Peterson (11 total tackles), DB Erik Coleman and LB Stephen Nicholas (nine total tackles each) and DB Brian Williams (eight total tackles).

Atlanta QB Matt Ryan didn't have the best stats on Sunday of Week 9 in a win over Washington. He didn't need to as running back Michael Turner did most of the damage with 166 rushing yards and two scores. Ryan finished 17 for 24 with 135 yards and a touchdown. He was also picked by Rocky McIntosh. Ryan added five carries for 6 yards.

Atlanta RB Aaron Stecker rushed twice for 6 yards in the Week 9 win against Washington. Stecker added three catches for 22 yards.

Falcons DB Brent Grimes recorded his first interception of the season Week 8 at New Orleans. He also had seven tackles, all solo, to give him 21 on the season.

Atlanta LB Curtis Lofton (knee, ankle) is active for Week 9 against Washington. He was limited in practice all week. Lofton had 14 tackles in a Monday night loss to New Orleans.

Atlanta RB Michael Turner torched Washington in a Week 9 win. Turner was the reason the Falcons won the game as he rushed for a season-high 166 yards on 18 carries. Turner rushed for 151 yards in Week 8 against the Saints and now has back-to-back 100-yard games for the first time since Weeks 12 and 13 of 2008. Turner found the end zone twice on runs of 30 and 58 yards and added two catches for 14 yards as well.

The Atlanta Falcons say rookie defensive tackle Peria Jerry is out for the season after injuring his left knee in a victory over the Panthers. Jerry, the team's first-round pick out of Mississippi, went down in the fourth quarter of Sunday's 28-20 victory. Coach Mike Smith said the rookie will be placed on injured reserve. The Falcons are thin along the defensive line, so the loss of Jerry is especially damaging.
