Derrick Mason caught seven passes for 62 yards including a touchdown on a short corner lob where he outplayed Steelers CB Ike Taylor in Week 12. Mason's score was his first as a Raven against the Steelers. He was targeted a dozen times in the game.

Ravens WR Kelley Washington had a 15-yard catch vs. the Steelers in Week 12.

Ravens RB Willis McGahee saw some early carries vs. the Steelers in Week 12 and contributed 18 rush yards on five carries with a touchdown run from 2 yards out. He also had a 1-yard catch.

Ravens RB Ray Rice accumulated 88 yards on 19 carries with 67 yards on five catches vs. the Steelers in Week 12. He did see teammate Willis McGahee score on a 2-yard run, his first end-zone visit since the early part of the year.

Baltimore will be without DL Haloti Ngata for Week 9 at the Bengals. The following players are also inactive for that game: DB Frank Walker, RB Jalen Parmele, LB Antwan Barnes, DL Paul Kruger, QB John Beck and DL Oniel Cousins.

The Ravens have waived TE Quinn Sypniewski, who was attempting to come back from his second knee injury in as many offseasons.

Ravens QB Joe Flacco did turn the ball over once on a fumble but was otherwise good, not great, against the Steelers in Week 12. That's a positive after owning five interceptions and no scores in his last two against his division rival. Flacco threw for 289 yards with a touchdown to Derrick Mason on 23 of 35 passing, helping lead the Ravens to an overtime win.

Baltimore Ravens CB Fabian Washington is expected to miss the remainder of the season after hurting his knee during Sunday's loss to the Indianapolis Colts. "It looks like he has an ACL tear. As of right now, we're proceeding as if he's done for the season," coach John Harbaugh said Monday. On his Twitter account, Washington wrote: "Thanx for all of your support. Yes I do have a torn ACL. But I'll get through this. Go Ravens." Washington has started all 10 games in 2009 for the Ravens (5-5). Although the five-year veteran does not have an interception, he's made 40 tackles - including a career-high tying nine in a win over Denver earlier this month. With Washington gone, rookie Lardarius Webb should receive more playing time.

ESPN reports that Ravens DT Haloti Ngata is expected to play in Week 11 vs. the Colts. The Ravens need him to help stop the run and collapse the pocket against Peyton Manning. Baltimore is already playing this game (and its next two) without LB Terrell Suggs.

Baltimore DB Haruki Nakamura was injured on the Monday night game's opening kickoff in Week 10 at Cleveland. Nakamura went down and writhed in pain on the ground for several minutes before being helped off the field and into the locker room. He suffered a broken right ankle and will be out indefinitely for the Ravens.

Billy Cundiff seems like the Ravens' answer at kicker for the rest of the season. He hit two of three field goals, missing on a 56-yard attempt to win the game in regulation but nailing a 29-yard attempt in overtime for the win. He also hit two extra points.

Ravens defensive back Samari Rolle almost certainly won't play this season because of a neck injury. The 33-year-old Rolle was placed on the physically unable to perform list in August with hopes he might return, but surgery didn't correct the problem. Now his career could be done. Rolle missed six games in 2008 because of the injury. He underwent surgery last year, too, and has not practiced with the team this season. Rolle broke into the NFL in 1998 and went to the Pro Bowl in 2000. After starting his career with the Tennessee Titans, he came to the Ravens in 2005 and started all 16 games during his first two seasons in Baltimore. In 2007, he was diagnosed with epilepsy. That, along with a shoulder injury, limited him to six games that season.

Neck - PUP. Out for Week 10 at Cincinnati

The Colts have waived defensive back Marcus Paschal. The move Tuesday gets Indy down to the NFL's mandatory roster limit of 75. Paschal was signed by the Colts last week. He played in three games with the Eagles in 2007.

Those released included linebacker Colby Bockwoldt, who started much of last season, and tight end Zack Hilton, who started six games last season. Ravens wide receiver Marcus Smith will undergo season-ending right knee surgery after tearing his right anterior cruciate ligament in Thursday's game against the Redskins. The injury occurred while Smith was making a tackle during a special teams play in the Ravens' 23-0 victory. The surgery will take place within the next week or two, after the swelling subsides. "Upset more than anything. Frustrated," Smith said after the team's Saturday practice. "You've got to wait another year before you can come out here and prove yourself. So it's definitely a bummer, but I'll come back bigger and stronger and faster." Ravens coach John Harbaugh said, "It's a huge loss for the special teams. Marcus was playing as well as any rookie on special teams last season. You saw it in the game. That's a big strong gunner running down the field."

Knee - IR. Out for the season

Ravens LB Jameel McClain picked up two tackles and a sack in Week 16's Saturday night victory over Dallas. McClain now has 15 tackles and 2.5 sacks on the year.

The Baltimore Ravens placed LB Brendon Ayanbadejo on IR Tuesday with a thigh injury. To fill Ayanbadejo's vacant roster spot, Baltimore signed LB Prescott Burgess off the New England Patriots' practice squad.
