Buffalo's Marcus Stroud has been ruled out because of a knee injury, meaning the NFL's worst run defense could be without both starting defensive tackles against Jacksonville this weekend. Kyle Williams has missed three games because of a knee injury, and was listed as questionable by interim head coach Perry Fewell on Friday. Williams has practiced sparingly this weekend. The Bills have only two other defensive tackles on their roster, reserves Spencer Johnson and John McCargo. While strong safety Donte Whitner is set to return after missing three games with an ankle injury, the Bills banged-up defense could be down another regular with rookie safety Jairus Byrd listed as questionable because of a nagging groin injury. Byrd has a league-leading eight interceptions to tie the Bills' rookie single-season record. He also has a five-game interception streak. And, reserve cornerback Ashton Youboty was also ruled out after hurting his ankle last weekend.

Bills linebacker Keith Ellison's season is over after he was placed on injured reserve with a quadriceps injury. The move was announced Friday as the Bills prepare to play Jacksonville on Sunday. Ellison has been out since being hurt in a 31-10 loss to Houston on Nov. 1. He becomes the 12th Bills player - and second starting linebacker - to be placed on IR this season.

The Buffalo News reports fifth-round pick Nic Harris on Wednesday became the third of the Bills' eight draftees to sign a deal. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Harris started 37 of 51 games at Oklahoma and ranks sixth in Sooners history among defensive backs with 233 tackles (143 solo) and 12th with 21 pass break-ups. The 6-foot-2, 232-pounder earned First-Team All-Big Twelve Conference honors from the league's coaches in 2007 and 2008.
