Defensive end Antwan Odom will miss the rest of the season because of a torn Achilles' tendon, costing the Cincinnati Bengals their top pass rusher. Odom had surgery on his right leg Monday and was placed on injured reserve. Odom is tied for the league lead with eight sacks and has been the Bengals' most dominant defensive player. The team also lost DL Domata Peko with a knee injury in Week 6 and also were without DL Frostee Rucker, who has a sprained ankle. DT Tank Johnson played with an injured foot.

Bengals LB Keith Rivers strained his right calf in the second half of the Week 9 win over Baltimore and was on crutches after the game. He'll go for tests to determine the severity. He had four tackles at the time of his injury.

Forearm - Missed Week 9 vs. Baltimore

The Bengals cut first-year players cornerback Marcus Brown and defensive end Victor DeGrate.

Bengals TE J.P. Foschi made two receptions in the Week 9 win over Baltimore. The two grabs went for 32 yards.

The Bengals signed CB Morgan Trent of Michigan on Wednesday, the first of the club's two sixth-round selections in the 2009 draft. Trent was a three-year starter at Michigan, playing 48 games with 41 starts over his career. He logged seven interceptions and an additional 24 pass break-ups, and his 31 total passes defensed ranks fifth in Wolverines history.

Cincinnati WR Andre Caldwell caught three passes for a minimal 15 yards during the Week 9 win over Baltimore. Caldwell, however, hooked up with QB Carson Palmer for a 6-yard touchdown in the 1st quarter to get the scoring started for the game.

Bengals TE Ben Utecht, who's on IR with a concussion and trying to decide if he's going to continue his career after this season, was spotted walking out of the Bengals weight room Friday. Utecht, who suffered through multiple concussions over his career, said he's been feeling better lately.

Neck - IR. Out for the season

Bengals RB Bernard Scott, FB Jeremi Johnson, TE Clark Harris and TE Daniel Coats all played during the Week 9 win over Baltimore but did not stat. Backup QB J.T. O'Sullivan did not see action.

Bengals QB Carson Palmer led his team to victory over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 9. Palmer was solid but not spectacular in the game with 224 yards on 20 of 33 passing. Palmer did not have any interceptions and threw a touchdown pass to Andre Caldwell from 6 yards out in the 1st quarter to get the scoring started. Palmer added 10 rushing yards on one carry.

Bengals LB Dhani Jones recovered a fumble and finished in a three-way tie for the most tackles on Sunday in the team's Week 7 blowout win over Chicago. Jones made seven solo tackles in the game to go with the fumble recovery.

Bengals DL Eric Henderson (neck), LB Abdul Hodge (elbow), DB Chinedum Ndukwe (foot) and DL Antwan Odom (shoulder) have all been ruled out for Week 12 at Pittsburgh.

The Bengals signed rookie DL Michael Johnson on Wednesday. He was a third-round pick out of Georgia Tech.

The Bengals have added to their depth at LB by promoting rookie Dan Skuta from their practice squad. Cincinnati waived CB Geoffrey Pope, a second-year player from Howard who appeared in the first four games. Skuta signed with the Bengals on April 30 as an undrafted free agent from Grand Valley State. He played in all four preseason games but failed to make the final cut and was signed to the practice squad.

The Indianapolis Star reports the Colts have finalized their roster down to 53 players Saturday. Among the cuts were RB Chad Simpson, WRs Devin Aromashodu, Onrea Jones and Sam Giguere, DLs Joe Bradley, Jeff Charleston, Dan Davis, Colin Ferrell and Ben Ishola, DBs Brannon Condren and Brandon Foster, TE Tyrice Thompson and LBs Victor Worsley and Kyle Shotwell.

Bengals WR Quan Cosby did not pick up any offensive stats during the Week 9 win over Baltimore. Cosby was limited to returning punts in the game.

Bengals DB Chris Crocker intercepted a pass for the second straight week on Sunday in a Week 7 win over the Bears. He also made four tackles.

Bengals receiver Chris Henry will miss the rest of the season after having surgery on his broken left forearm. Coach Marvin Lewis said Monday that Henry will be placed on injured reserve this week, ending his season. He broke the forearm on his only catch Sunday during a 17-7 win over Baltimore. Henry was the team's fourth-leading receiver with 12 catches for 236 yards and two touchdowns.

Bengals DB Leon Hall finished the Week 9 win over Baltimore with three tackles and an interception of QB Joe Flacco.

Bengals RB Cedric Benson loves facing the Ravens. Benson rushed for 117 yards on 34 carries and scored a touchdown in the Week 9 win over Baltimore. Benson scored from 1 yard out in the 1st quarter.

Bengals TE Reggie Kelly, who ruptured the Achilles' tendon in his left leg during training camp, is ahead of schedule in his recovery and hopes to be jogging within a month. The tight end expects to play next year.

Achilles' - IR. Out for the season

Bengals DB Chinedum Ndukwe recorded six tackles and half a sack in the Week 9 win over Baltimore.

Bengals RB Brian Leonard saw three garbage-time carries in the Week 9 win over Baltimore. Leonard rushed for 11 yards and added three catches for 19 more yards.

Bengals WR Laveranues Coles led the team with six catches for 72 yards during their Week 9 win against Baltimore. Coles added one carry for 8 yards.

The Bengals signed rookie cornerback Rico Murray from Kent State to fill the roster spot that opened up when Tampa Bay signed safety Corey Lynch off their practice squad. Murray signed with the Bengals on April 30 as an undrafted free agent. He played in all four preseason games and had eight tackles. The Bengals waived him on Sept. 5.

In the Bengals' Week 1 loss vs. the Broncos, notable defensive performances include: DB Roy Williams (nine total tackles), LB Rey Maualuga (eight total tackles), DE Antwan Odom (four total tackles, two sacks) and DT Jonathan Fanene (two solo tackles, sack).
