For the second straight week, Browns coach Eric Mangini has waived a high draft pick of Cleveland's previous regime. Tight end Martin Rucker, a fourth-round selection in 2008, was waived by the Browns (0-2) on Tuesday along with defensive back Marquis Floyd.

Cowboys safety Gerald Sensabaugh will have surgery to repair a broken plate in his right thumb and could be out up to a month. Sensabaugh had a plate implanted after breaking his thumb in college. He cracked the plate Sunday during Dallas' 17-10 loss at Denver. Sensabaugh played the week after his operation in college, but coach Wade Phillips said Monday that he doesn't expect such a quick turnaround this time. Patrick Watkins replaced him against the Broncos and will remain in the lineup.

Dallas QB Tony Romo was able to participate in practice in full on Wednesday with a back injury as the team prepares for its Week 13 at the Giants. Romo was 18 of 29 passing for 309 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions Week 12 against Oakland.
