Jaguars TE Ernest Wilford hauled in two catches for 18 yards during a Week 8 loss to the Titans. He was targeted five times and his longest catch went 13 yards. Wilford came into the game with just three catches for 43 yards in six games.

Jaguars RB Rashad Jennings totaled three carries for 8 yards during a Week 8 loss to the Titans. He also had one catch for 1 yard. Jennings is up to 18 carries for 68 yards in six games.

Jaguars TE Marcedes Lewis totaled one catch for 20 yards during a Week 8 loss to the Titans. It was his only target of the game. Lewis has only two catches for 25 yards in his last two games.

Jaguars rookie DB Derek Cox led his team with seven tackles and made his second NFL interception in a Week 4 win over the Titans.

The Jaguars have waived receiver D'Juan Woods and acquired cornerback Tyron Brackenridge off waivers. Woods, signed as a rookie free agent out of Oklahoma State in 2007, spent parts of the last two seasons on Jacksonville's practice squad. He played in one game. The 5-foot-11, 189-pound Brackenridge played in 14 games with the Chiefs the past two seasons. He had 20 tackles and two forced fumbles.

Jaguars RB Montell Owens and TE Zach Miller both dressed but failed to record an offensive stat in Week 8 against the Titans.

The Jaguars host the Chiefs in Week 9 and Jacksonville RB Maurice Jones-Drew will be looking for his third straight superb outing. Over his past two games, Jones-Drew has totaled 310 rushing yards and five touchdowns. Kansas City ranks 26th against the run this season.

Jaguars LB Justin Durant (seven tackles), DB Reggie Nelson (six tackles, fumble recovery) and LB Daryl Smith (six tackles) all had nice performances in a Week 4 win over the Titans.

Jaguars WR Jarett Dillard caught one pass for 23 yards during a Week 8 loss to the Titans. He was targeted twice. Dillard has four catches for 66 yards in five games.

Jaguars LB Justin Durant (11 tackles), LB Daryl Smith (10 tackles), DB Reggie Nelson (seven tackles), DL Quentin Groves (four tackles, forced fumble) and DL Reggie Hayward (two tackles, sack) all made nice contributions in a Week 1 loss to the Colts.

All three Jaguars starting linebackers - Daryl Smith (coach's decision), Clint Ingram (concussion) and Justin Durant (hip flexor) - missed practice for the second straight day Tuesday and aren't expected to suit up against the Eagles.

The Sports Xchange reports that Jaguars DT John Henderson played a lot of defensive ends in the 3-4 during Week 1's loss to the Colts and said, "I kind of like it. You get less double teams and there's more angles."

The Jaguars have placed DL Rob Meier on injured reserve with a shoulder injury.

Shoulder - IR. Out for the season

The Jacksonville Jaguars have been awarded long-snapper Jeremy Cain off waivers from the Washington Redskins. Cain, originally signed as an undrafted rookie linebacker by Chicago in 2004, has played in 17 games with the Bears and Tennessee Titans. In Jacksonville, he will compete with veteran Joe Zelenka for the long-snapper job in training camp. Zelenka has been the team's long-snapper the last eight seasons, playing in a team-record 128 consecutive games. Cain was a two-time All-America selection at linebacker at Massachusetts, where he ranked fifth on the school's career list with 363 tackles.

Jaguars LB Justin Durant, WR Tiquan Underwood, DB Scott Starks, DB Sean Considine, LB Adam Seward and DL Greg Peterson have been ruled out of the team's Week 6 game against the Rams.

The Jacksonville Jaguars signed defensive tackle Jervonte Jackson and waived defensive end Jeremy Mincey.

Jaguars defensive end Reggie Hayward broke his left leg Sunday at Indianapolis and will miss the rest of the season. One of five team captains, Hayward broke his fibula in a fourth-down pileup against the Colts. It was his second major injury in four years. He ruptured his Achilles' tendon in the 2006 season opener. "Reggie's a big part of this team, let alone the defense," defensive tackle Derek Landri said. "He was a captain of our team. It's a blow, but it's just one of those things. Another guy's got to step in and step up and carry it on. The season's not slowing down. We feel sorry for Reggie and what happened - you don't wish that on anybody, especially your own teammate - but the younger guys have got to step up and get in there."

Jaguars QB David Garrard failed to get the best of Tennessee for a second time in 2009 during a 30-13 Week 8 loss. Garrard shredded Tennessee for 323 yards when the Jaguars routed the Titans 37-17 in Week 4. They never let him get started this time, sacking him four times, intercepting him twice and hitting him repeatedly. Garrard completed just 14 of 27 passes for 139 yards. He rushed for 22 yards while not recording one touchdown.

Jaguars LB Russell Allen led the team in tackles Week 5 at Seattle, more than doubling his previous total on the season. Allen had 10 tackles in the game after recording only four in the team's first four games.

The Sports Xchange reports that the Bengals waived rookie CB Jonathan Zenon (hamstring) with an injury settlement.

In fact, he didn't get to do much in a 30-13 loss. Scobee attempted no field goals and made just 1 of 2 extra points. He had his second attempt blocked in the third quarter.

Jaguars DL Derrick Harvey tallied seven tackles (five solo) and two sacks during a Week 17 loss to the Ravens. He got all of his 3 1/2 sacks this season in two games. Harvey came into Week 17 with 12 tackles in the first 15 games.

Jaguars LB Justin Durant totaled a team-high 16 tackles during a Week 8 loss to the Titans. It was his second double-digit tackle performance of the season as he ran his tackle totals to 51.

The Falcons waived RB DeAndra Cobb, WR Cedric Bonner and WR Javarus Dudley.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed third-round draft pick Terrance Knighton, a 6-foot-3, 325-pound defensive tackle and the 72nd overall pick in April. He is expected to compete for a starting spot alongside two-time Pro Bowler John Henderson in August. Knighton was a three-year starter at Temple and finished with 26 tackles for loss, six sacks and four forced fumbles.

Detroit released DT Chartric Darby on Wednesday. They signed DE Robert Henderson to the practice squad and released DB Deandre Wright.

The Florida Times-Union reports the Jaguars are thin at WR after Troy Williamson was lost for the season with a torn labrum and Nate Hughes was waived. It now means that rookies Mike Thomas and Jarett Dillard, who were both inactive the first two games, will likely make their debuts against the Texans on Sunday. They'll join Torry Holt and Mike Sims-Walker as the team's four wide receivers. Another rookie who could make his debut is TE Zach Miller, who has been sidelined since the first preseason game at Miami, when he broke a bone in the back of his kneecap. Because Miller is ready to resume practicing, the Jaguars cut Greg Estandia.
