Dolphins WR Greg Camarillo, TE Joey Haynos and TE Kory Sperry all played in a Week 12 loss at Buffalo but failed to record an offensive stat.

Linebacker Joey Porter and defensive end Phillip Merling worked out on stationary bikes as the team practiced Wednesday ahead of Sunday's home game against the Buccaneers. Porter has been nursing a sore right hamstring for much of the season. The Dolphins haven't disclosed Merling's injury. On the bright side, linebacker Channing Crowder (left shoulder) and nose tackle Jason Ferguson (elbow) were back at practice after missing last week's loss at New England.

The Miami Dolphins activated linebacker Matt Roth from the Reserve/Non-Football Injury list and released tight end John Nalbone. Roth was placed on the Reserve/Non-Football Injury list on September 5, 2009 and has missed the first six games of the 2009 season.

Chad Pennington's latest comeback is under way, even though he's not sure he'll play again. The Dolphins quarterback has completed the first phase of rehabilitation from season-ending shoulder surgery, and he'll fly Wednesday to Birmingham, Ala., to consult with Dr. James Andrews, who performed the operation Oct. 2. They'll map out a recovery program for the next six weeks, and Pennington says he might wait until March to decide whether to play in 2010. The surgery was the third on Pennington's throwing shoulder. Twice he has returned from injuries to win NFL Comeback Player of the Year, including in 2009, when he led the Dolphins to their first playoff berth in eight years.

Dolphins RB Ricky Williams ran 27 times for 115 yards and a touchdown in a Week 12 loss at Buffalo. Williams, who now has three straight 100-yard games, also threw an interception in the end zone when he tried to be a QB out of the Wildcat.

Dolphins LB Charlie Anderson, starting in place of Joey Porter, made five tackles, two sacks and forced a pair of fumbles in a Week 10 win over the Buccaneers.

Dolphins DB Nate Jones picked off his second pass of the season on Thursday in a Week 11 win over the Panthers, intercepting a Jake Delhomme pass. Jones also ended up with one tackle in the game.

Ronnie Brown's season is over for the Miami Dolphins. Miami's leading rusher was placed on injured reserve Wednesday because of what is believed to be a Lisfranc fracture in his right foot, according to the Miami Herald. It's his second season-ending injury in three years. Brown will visit a specialist in Charlotte and is with his teammates as they head there to take on the Panthers in Week 11. According to one of the Herald's sources, Brown's injury is "not anything major as far as career or long term." Brown rushed for 648 yards, caught for 98 yards and passed for 22 yards with nine total touchdowns (one passing) in 2009.
