Position Listing
Ryan Wendell
News
Three injured players have been placed on the inactive list by the Patriots for their season opener Thursday night against Pittsburgh. They are running back Travaris Cadet (hamstring), defensive lineman Trey Flowers (knee) and safety Tavon Wilson (quad).

The healthy inactives are offensive lineman Ryan Wendell, defensive lineman Khyri Thornton, linebacker Rufus Johnson and cornerback Justin Coleman.

Injury
Nate Solder
News
Patriots left tackle Nate Solder signed a two-year, $20.62 million contract extension, which takes him through the 2017 season, a source told ESPN.

As part of the agreement, the Patriots can't use the franchise or transition tag on Solder after his deal runs out in 2017.

The Patriots drafted Solder in the first round (17th overall) of the 2011 NFL Draft. He has missed only one game in his four-year career and has started 60 of 63 games.

Injury
Dont'a Hightower
News
During the 2015 regular season, Hightower was on the field for 54.2 percent of the Patriots' defensive snaps, ESPN's Mike Reiss reports.

As the report notes, Hightower missed four games this season, and was limited in several others, but when healthy he's a key component in the Patriots' run defense and a serviceable IDP in the process. In 12 games this past season, Hightower managed to record 61 tackles and 3.5 sacks.

Michael Williams
News
The Patriots have acquired tackle Michael Williams from the Lions in exchange for a future draft pick, according to NFL.com.

Williams is expected to be among the reserve options for the back end of their offensive line in the 2015 season.

Darryl Roberts
News
The Patriots have placed rookie cornerback and seventh round pick Darryl Roberts on season-ending injured reserve, ESPN has reported.

Roberts injured his wrist in the first preseason game. He started that game and was showing promise in training camp.

Injury
Undisclosed - IR. Out for season
Jon Bostic
News
Bears linebacker Jon Bostic (ankle) was dealt to the Patriots on Monday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.

Bostic missed the first three games of the season due to a high-ankle sprain, but with the Bears going winless in those outings, the organization decided to jettison both Bostic and Jared Allen (to Carolina). In New England, expect Bostic to serve in a reserve role to starting middle linebacker Jerod Mayo.

Stephen Gostkowski
News
Gostkowski made one of his two field-goal attempts en route to a four-point effort in Sunday's 20-10 loss to the Dolphins.

Though his 2015 season ended on a statistical downer, overall Gostkowski held up his end of the fantasy bargain, while leading NFL kickers with 151 points, while making 33 of his 36 field goal attempts. He'll remain a solid option in postseason lineups once the Patriots return to action following their first-round bye.

Tarell Brown
News
A foot injury has landed Patriots cornerback Tarell Brown (foot) on season-ending injured reserve, per the Boston Herald.

This is a definite blow to the pass defense, as he had spent time as a starter.

Injury
Foot - IR. Out for season
Dion Lewis
News
Lewis (torn ACL) has been placed on IR by the Patriots.

Lewis, who played in seven games for the Patriots this season, recording 234 rushing yards on 49 attempts with two TDs, also caught 36 passes for 388 yards, adding two receiving scores in the process. Lewis -- who previously signed a two-year contract extension with the team through the 2017 season -- should be back in time to try to reclaim his "passing back" role in the New England offense next season. In the meantime, the Patriots will turn to James White and Brandon Bolden to serve as change-of-pace options behind LeGarrette Blount, the team's top "big back."

Injury
Knee - IR. Out for season
Tyler Gaffney
News
The Patriots announced Thursday they placed second-year running back Tyler Gaffney on injured reserve.

The 24-year-old running back was claimed off waivers from the Panthers in July 2014 after Carolina drafted him in the sixth round that year. Gaffney also missed the 2014 season due to an injury he suffered in training camp.

Injury
Undisclosed - IR. Out for season
Scott Chandler
News
Chandler (knee) was on the field for 14 of the Patriots' 60 snaps on offense in Sunday's 20-10 loss to the Dolphins, ESPN's Mike Reiss reports.

Chandler, who has been working through a knee issue, has played one, zero, four and 14 snaps over the last four games, and as long as star TE Rob Gronkowski remains healthy, Chandler is not a strong option in fantasy lineups. Signed with the Patriots through the 2016 season, Chandler finishes up the current regular season campaign with 23 catches for 259 yards and four TDs in 15 games.

Chris Barker
News
The Patriots have announced the re-signing of offensive lineman Chris Barker to the practice squad and the release of defensive end Ben Bass .

Bass played in two games with Dallas in 2012, but none since.

Montee Ball
News
Ball was arrested on Friday morning for allegedly battering his girlfriend at a Madison, WI hotel, Wisconsin State Journal reports.

After the Broncos released the running back on the cusp of the regular season, Ball was in football limbo until he joined the Patriots' practice squad in mid-December. He stayed on through the team's playoff push, but his services weren't retained in the form of a reserve/future contract once the season concluded with a loss in the AFC championship game. Friday's brush with the law won't necessarily put a halt to his NFL pursuits. Rather, his performance, or lack thereof, this past season was likely enough to steer interested parties in other directions.

Leonard Johnson
News
The Buccaneers cut five players Tuesday to get down to the NFL-mandated 75-man limit, with the biggest name being punter Michael Koenen

Tampa Bay decided to go with first-year punter Jacob Schum over the veteran Koenen. The rest of the Bucs' cuts include guard Josh Allen, WR Robert Herron and corner Leonard Johnson. Defensive tackle Akeem Spence was placed on the PUP list.

Rob Gronkowski
News
Gronkowski won't need offseason surgery on his knee or back, Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald reports.

Gronkowski struggled to stay healthy for a fourth consecutive year, as he missed one game in 2015 due to a minor knee strain. Additionally, a back issue afflicted him in both playoff tilts, but the touchdown machine still struck three total times against the Chiefs and Broncos. After a third 1,000-yard and fifth double-digit touchdown campaign in six professional seasons, he'll enter draft season as the clear-cut No. 1 tight end.

Sealver Siliga
News
Patriots defensive tackle Sealver Siliga is still in a walking boot after undergoing surgery last season, per ESPN.

Siliga is considered to be one of the top-two options at defensive tackle for the team after the departure of Vince Wilfork. The 24-year-old started five of the seven games he played in 2014. He recorded 32 total tackles and 2.5 sacks last season.

Rashaan Melvin
News
Ravens defensive back Rashaan Melvin was let go by the Ravens on Tuesday.

The 2013 undrafted free agent surprisingly ended up making starts last season as the secondary was decimated by injuries. Melvin, however, made just one appearance this season. It's not a great sign for his NFL future that he was released by a team whose biggest weakness corresponds with his position.

Nate Ebner
News
The Patriots have ruled Cameron Fleming (ankle, finger) and Chandler Jones (hip) out for Sunday's game against Detroit, according to New England's final injury report released Friday.

Deemed questionable were Marcus Cannon (hip), Dominique Easley (knee) and Nate Ebner (finger). As expected, Tom Brady (ankle), Julian Edelman (thigh) and Jonas Gray (not injury related) were ruled as probable for Week 12.

Darius Fleming
News
The Patriots promoted linebacker Darius Fleming from the practice squad to its 53-man roster, reports NESN.com. Fleming has yet to appear in an NFL regular season game.
Josh Boyce
News
Injury
Devin McCourty
News
During the 2015 regular season, McCourty was on the field for 84.7 percent of the Patriots' defensive snaps, ESPN's Mike Reiss reports.

McCourty and Patrick Chung -- who both remain under contract heading into 2016 -- served as the Patriots' starting safeties, with Reiss noting that McCourty saw much of his work "in the center field-type role" with Chung "often playing in the box and offering quality run support." In the process, McCourty recorded 64 tackles in 14 games, though his IDP utility was capped by the fact that he recorded just one pick in that span.

Julian Edelman
News
Edelman caught just seven of 15 targets for 52 yards in Sunday's loss to the Broncos.

Just a week after racking up 10 catches for 100 yards versus the Chiefs, Edelman was held in check in Sunday's AFC championship game as the Broncos made a concerted effort to limit his effectiveness. Despite seeing plenty of targets as the Patritos tried to come back late in the game, Edelman was simply too well-covered to make any impact plays. Edelman was limited to just nine games in the 2015 regular season because of a foot injury, and he will look to bounce back in 2016.

Brandon Bolden
News
Bolden was on the field for 16 of the Patriots' 83 offensive snaps in Sunday's 20-18 loss to the Broncos in the AFC title game, ESPN's Mike Reiss reports. In the process, Bolden carried five times for 12 yards and caught two passes for 29 yards.

The 25-year-old Bolden finished up the 2015 regular season with 63 carries for 207 yards to go along with 19 catches for 180 yards and two TDs in 15 games. Bolden remains under contract with the Patriots in 2016, which puts him on track to reprise his role with the team next season as a versatile depth back, who is also a valuable special teams contributor.

Kevin Hughes
News
The Patriots waived two injured players on Monday, putting the team four players below the 90-man roster limit, per NESN.

Offensive lineman Kevin Hughes was waived/injured after suffering a shoulder injury in Saturday's workout. If Hughes isn't claimed by a team on Tuesday, he'll be placed on injured reserve for the Patriots.

Defensive tackle Vince Taylor was waived after a failed physical.

Injury
Keshawn Martin
News
Martin has signed a two-year, $3 million contract extension with the Patriots, ESPM.com reports.

Martin, who finished the 2015 regular season with 24 catches for 269 yards and two TDs in nine games for the Patriots after being acquired in a Sept. 17 trade with the Texans, will thus continue to provide the team with wideout depth next year. Heading into the upcoming offseason, Julian Edelman, Brandon LaFell and Danny Amendola will all also be under contract with the Patriots in 2016, which probably puts Martin an injury or a personnel move away from fantasy relevance next season.

A.J. Derby
Injury
Undisclosed - IR. Out for season
Patrick Chung
News
During the 2015 regular season, Chung was on the field for 81 percent of the Patriots' defensive snaps, ESPN's Mike Reiss reports.

Devin McCourty and Chung -- who are both under contract for 2016 -- served as the team's starters at the safety position, with McCourty working "in the center field-type role" and Chung "often playing in the box and offering quality run support," per Reiss. In the process, Chung carved out a degree of IDP relevance, recording 85 tackles and a forced fumble over 15 games for the team.

Duron Harmon
News
Patriots rookie safety Duron Harmon made an interception for the second straight game, returning it 42 yards in the Week 9 win over the Steelers. He added four tackles, giving him eight tackles and three passes defended this season.
Brandon Gibson
News
The Patriots are reportedly signing free agent wide receiver Brandon Gibson to a one-year deal, worth $825,000, according to the Baltimore Sun.

Gibson, who was cut last month by the Dolphins, played in 21 games over two seasons with Miami, with his first year cut short by injury. He totaled 59 catches for 621 yards and four touchdowns.

Injury
Undisclosed - IR. Out for season
Keavon Milton
News
The Seahawks have listed the following players as inactive for Sunday's Super Bowl: B.J. Daniels, Marcus Burley, Patrick Lewis, Keavon Milton, David King, Garry Gilliam and Kevin Norwood, the team announced.

Gilliam caught a fake field goal touchdown during the NFC Championship Game for Seattle.

The game is currently pick'em between Seattle and New England.

Ishmaa'ily Kitchen
News
The Browns continued to trim their roster Tuesday, releasing defensive lineman Ishmaa'ily Kitchen, per Cleveland.com.

Kitchen has played nose for the Browns for the last three seasons, appearing in at least 13 games each season, with three starts. Last year, he tallied a career-high 43 tackles.

LaAdrian Waddle
News
The Lions have announced that they have activated two starters - defensive end Jason Jones and right tackle LaAdrian Waddle - off the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list.

Wadde has recovered from a partially torn ACL while Jones was dealing with a knee ailment that required surgery.

Akiem Hicks
News
The Saints have traded defensive end Akiem Hicks to the Patriots in exchange for Michael Hoomanawanui, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

Hicks, who was a third-round pick in 2012, will bolster the Patriots' defensive line depth, but with just two tackles in two games this season, he's off the fantasy radar.

Matthew Slater
News
Slater (knee) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Jets.

Though Slater's role in the team's offense remains limited, he continues to be a key cog on special teams for the Patriots.

Chris Jones
News
The Patriots will be at nearly full strength for Sunday’s Super Bowl as the following players have been listed as probable: Tom Brady (ankle), Dont’a Hightower (shoulder), Chris Jones (elbow), Akeem Ayers (knee), Darrelle Revis (non-injury-related) and Sealver Siliga (foot).

All except Brady were limited participants in practice Friday. The only question mark is center Bryan Stork, who is questionable with a knee injury and was limited in practice Friday.

The Patriots are currently 1-point favorites against Seattle.

Injury
Calf - PUP. Out indefinitely
Jabaal Sheard
News
Sheard was on the field for 51.0 percent of the Patriots' defensive snaps this past season, ESPN's Mike Reiss reports.

A quality free agent signing for the Patriots, Sheard provided capable complementary play this season in tandem with fellow defensive linemen Rob Ninkovich and Chandler Jones, carving out some deep league utility in the process, while recording 37 tackles, eight sacks and four forced fumbles in 13 contests for the team.

Jonathan Freeny
News
Linebacker Jonathan Freeny has signed with the Patriots, per ESPN.

Freeny, who wasn't tendered as a restricted free agent with the Dolphins, is entering his fourth season in the NFL. He has recorded 30 total tackles and one sack during the 48 games he has played.

Joe Cardona
No Updates
Ryan Allen
News
The Patriots agreed to a three-year contract extension with punter Ryan Allen, reports ESPN. Allen is entering his third season with the Patriots.
Cameron Fleming
News
The Patriots have deemed the following players as inactive for Saturday's divisional round game against the Ravens: Josh Boyce, Jordan Devey, Zach Moore, Steve Maneri, Cameron Fleming, James White and Jonas Gray.

Gray, who 89 carries for 412 yards and five touchdowns in the regular season, is dealing with an ankle injury. Gray was listed as probable throughout the week.

The Patriots are 7-point favorites against Baltimore Saturday.

Eric Martin
News
The Patriots elevated running back LeGarette Blount to the active roster and cut linebacker Eric Martin on Saturday, according to ESPN.com.

Injury
Alan Branch
News
The Patriots have reportedly re-signed defensive tackle Alan Branch to a two-year deal worth a maximum of $6.6 million, according to Albert Breer of the NFL Network.

Branch, who was signed by New England in the middle of the 2014 season, appeared in eight games and totaled 13 tackles. In his eight-year career, Branch has totaled 120 tackles with eight sacks.

Josh Kline
News
Patriots rookie starting center Bryan Stork is not practicing Wednesday, reports MassLive.com. He suffered a knee injury in the second quarter of the playoff win over Baltimore and did not return.

If Stork can't play in Sunday's AFC Championship Game against the Colts, right guard Ryan Wendell will start at center with Josh Kline replacing Wendell.

New England is a 6.5-point home favorite.

Kevin Snyder
Injury

Chris Harper
News
Harper finished the 2015 regular season with one catch for six yards for the Patriots.

Harper saw just 67 snaps on on offense for the Patriots this past season, but he remains under contract with the team in 2016 and could push for more snaps as a depth wideout for New England next year.

Malcolm Butler
News
Butler missed the Pro Bowl due to a sprained knee, Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald reports. "There was a play on third down [in the AFC championship game] when I made a tackle or something like that and bent my knee back," Butler said Friday in San Francisco. "It swelled up pretty bad. I didn't feel it during the game because of all the adrenaline pumping. When we got back, it swelled up pretty bad, and the team just decided it was a good thing to sit me out."

Butler became instantly famous with his game-winning interception of Russell Wilson in last year's Super Bowl, and the loss of Darrelle Revis in free agency elevated him to the Patriots' No. 1 cornerback. The pseudo promotion worked wonders, as Butler notched 67 tackles (56 solo), 15 passes defended, and two interceptions while regularly drawing the opponent's top wide receiver over the course of his second campaign. While his recovery effort won't include surgery, rest and regular icing sessions have been his regimen to date.

Malcom Brown
News
Patriots defensive lineman Dominique Easley (hip) did not practice on Wednesday, Doug Kyed of the New England Sports Network reports.

Easley's absence was due to a hip pointer suffered during Thursday's game against the Steelers and early reports indicate Easley will likely miss 1-2 weeks rehabbing the injury. With Easley most likely missing Sunday's contest against the Bills, 2015 first-round pick Malcom Brown could step in and receive more snaps.

Brandon King

Jamie Collins
News
Collins (back) is listed as active Sunday's AFC title game against the Broncos.

It remains to be seen how close to 100 percent Collins will be, but the Pro Bowler -- who recorded a fantasy-friendly 89 tackles, 5.5 sacks and five forced fumbles in 12 contests for the Patriots this past season -- will give it a go on Sunday, which represents a big boost to the team's chances of containing Denver's offense this week.

Geneo Grissom
No Updates
Chandler Jones
News
Jones (abdomen/toe) is listed as active Sunday's AFC title game against the Broncos.

Jones, who recorded four tackles, a sack and a forced fumble before exiting last Saturday's win over the Chiefs in the fourth quarter, will give it a go Sunday, as will linebacker Jamie Collins, with the duo's combined presence of vital importance to the New England defense's chances of containing the Broncos offense on Sunday.

LeGarrette Blount
News
Blount didn't need surgery on the hip injury that ended his 2015 campaign, Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald reports.

The Patriots' backfield endured hits during the season, as Dion Lewis (knee) preceded Blount's placement on injured reserve on Dec. 16. Despite missing the final three games of the regular season, Blount was far and away the team's leading rusher, totaling 165 carries for 703 yards (4.3 YPC) and six touchdowns. The Patriots must make a call on the unrestricted free agent in the coming months, but if he sticks around, he'll likely serve as the No. 1 back until Lewis has recovered from a torn ACL, barring other additions to the roster.

Injury
Hip - IR. Out for season
Brandon LaFell
News
LaFell was on the field for 33 of the Patriots' 83 offensive snaps in Sunday's 20-18 loss to the Broncos in the AFC title game, ESPN's Mike Reiss reports.

Fellow wideouts Julian Edelman (80), Keshawn Martin (59) and Danny Amendola (55) all saw more snaps than LaFell did on Sunday, and at this stage the 29-year-old's role in the Patriots' offense next season lacks clarity, given the probability that the team will make some changes this offseason at the wideout position. LaFell, who did not catch a pass Sunday, finished up the 2015 campaign with 37 catches for 515 yards in 11 games.

Marcus Cannon
News
Patriots offensive lineman Marcus Cannon has signed a two-year extension, according to ESPN.

Cannon has battled some injuries this season, but has managed to play in all 13 games. After starting the first three games of the year, Cannon took a backseat, and has been used as a backup.

Brock Vereen
News
The Bears have listed their Week 13 injury report prior to Thursday's game.

Wideout Brandon Marshall has been listed as probable with an ankle injury. He's been limited in practice throughout the week, but should play. Eben Britton, Jordan Mills and Brock Vereen were also listed as probable.

First-round pick Kyle Fuller will come into the contest as a game-time decision. He's questionable due to a knee injury. Both Jeremiah Ratliff and Trevor Scott will be listed as doubtful.

Lance Briggs, Darryl Sharpton, Chris Williams and Brian De La Puente have already been ruled out.

James Develin
News
The Patriots re-signed fullback James Develin, an exclusive rights free agent, to a one-year $660,000 contract, reports the Boston Herald. Develin is a solid blocker who played in every game last season, starting four.

Injury
Dane Fletcher
News
The trend of bringing back familiar faces has apparently continued for the Patriots with the signing to a one-year deal of linebacker Dane Fletcher, according to NFL.com.

Fletcher played for New England from 2010 to 2013 before hightailing it for one season to Tampa Bay. He played in all 16 games, but started just four and contributed to a career-high 27 tackles.

He would be expected to provide depth along with Brandon Spikes, who has also returned to the Patriots after one year away.

Injury
Knee - PUP. Out indefinitely
Steven Jackson
News
Jackson was on the field for 11 of the Patriots' 83 offensive snaps in Sunday's 20-18 loss to the Broncos in the AFC title game, ESPN's Mike Reiss reports.

Jackson, who carried four times for eight yards with a TD in the game, is slated to become a free agent this offseason, and at this stage it's unclear how much interest the Patriots will have in retaining the 32-year-old Jackson, who logged 21 carries for 50 yards and a TD for the team in two regular season contests in 2015.

Tavon Wilson

Jimmy Garoppolo
News
Garoppolo was on the field for the the Patriots' last four snaps on offense in Sunday's 20-10 loss to the Dolphins, after entering the game with 1:56 remaining on the clock, ESPN's Mike Reiss reports. Garoppolo completed one pass (on his first four attempts of the season) for six yards in the process.

As the 2015 season approached, Garoppolo was penciled in as the Patriots' early-season starter, thanks to starter Tom Brady's NFL-imposed four-game suspension, but once that ruling was overturned, Garoppolo reverted to his duties as the team's No. 2 QB. While that kept the 24-year-old in a reserve role, coach Bill Belichick noted after the completion of the regular season that Garoppolo has made "great strides" this year in various areas of his game. "We see it on a daily basis," Belichick added. In advance of the postseason, Brady is nursing an ankle injury, but it's not an issue that is expected to sideline him for any game action.

Dekoda Watson
News
Linebacker Dekoda Watson was signed to the Patriots' active roster Wednesday, Jeff Howe of The Boston Herald reports.

The release of wide receiver Chris Harper opened a roster spot for Watson, who will mainly fill in as linebacker depth for New England. However, it will probably take a few injuries before he gains any Fantasy value in IDP formats.

James White
News
White was on the field for 47 of the Patriots' 83 offensive snaps in Sunday's 20-18 loss to the Broncos in the AFC title game, ESPN's Mike Reiss reports. In the process, White carried the ball five times for 11 yards, while catching five passes for 45 yards in the contest.

Following the season-ending injury to Dion Lewis, White emerged as the Patriots' primary pass-catching back, en route hauling in 40 passes for 410 yard and four TDs, to go along with 22 carries for 56 yards and two rushing TDs in 14 games. With Lewis on track to return from his torn ACL, White's role with the Patriots in 2016 has yet to be clarified, especially given that LeGarrette Blount is slated to become a free agent and the team is likely to make some personnel changes at the running back position this offseason.

Tom Brady
News
Brady completed just 27 of 56 passes for 310 yards, a touchdown and a pair of interceptions in Sunday's loss to the Broncos in the AFC championship game.

Up against a ferocious Broncos defense, Brady wasn't able to establish a rhythm until the fourth quarter, when he led a furious comeback attempt that fell one two-point conversion short of tying the game. The ageless Brady enjoyed another fine season, throwing 36 touchdowns and just seven interceptions, which represents the second-fewest of his storied career. Brady clearly intends to play again in 2016, when the Patriots will once again be among the favorites to come out of the AFC.

Dominique Easley
News
Easley (leg) has been placed on season-ending injured reserve, CSN New England's Tom E. Curran reports.

The Patriots' 2014 first-round draft pick, Easley was enjoying an impressive season as an interior pass-rusher, despite starting just one of his 11 games. He's unlikely to be replaced by any one player, but Akiem Hicks is the most obvious candidate to take on some of his snaps.

Injury
Leg - IR. Out for season
Logan Ryan
News
During the 2015 regular season, Ryan was on the field for 89.3 percent of the Patriots' defensive snaps, ESPN's Mike Reiss reports.

Heading into the season, a big question facing the Patriots was how the team would replace starting cornerbacks Darrelle Revis and Brandon Browner. The answer ended up being pretty straightforward, as Malcolm Butler (98.8 percent of the team's snaps) and Ryan ended up leading the Patriots defense in playing time. In the process, Ryan racked up 74 tackles and four picks in 16 games, numbers that put New England's starting right cornerback on the IDP radar.

Joey Iosefa
News
The Patriots have released Iosefa.

After leading the team in carries in Week 15, Iosefa saw limited snaps Sunday against the Jets, with Steven Jackson having joined the team's backfield mix. Iosefa's RB/FB versatility could result in him being claimed on waivers, but if that doesn't happen, he could well resurface on the Patriots' practice squad.

Sebastian Vollmer
News
Patriots offensive tackle Sebastian Vollmer had to leave Week 2 after suffering a finger injury in the second quarter, reports NESN. His return is questionable.
Danny Amendola
News
Amendola was on the field for 55 of the Patriots' 83 offensive snaps in Sunday's 20-18 loss to the Broncos in the AFC title game, ESPN's Mike Reiss reports.

Amendola, who caught five of eight targets for 39 yards in the game, finished up the regular season with 65 catches for 648 yards and three TDs in 14 games. The 30-year-old wideout -- who saw added work in the Patriots' offense this past season thanks to Julian Edelman's injury woes -- is under contract with the team for the next two seasons, but given that his base salary goes up to $5 million in 2016, Amendola's status with the team bears watching this offseason.

Jerod Mayo
News
Mayo underwent a procedure Wednesday to repair a torn pectoral, Dan Roche of WBZ AM Boston reports.

For the second time in a three-year span, Mayo required surgery on a pectoral, which is yet another in a line of injury concerns for the eight-year pro. No matter, the middle linebacker logged a full regular season slate for the first time since 2012, accruing 47 tackles (35 solo) and one sack. Assuming he recovers fully, he'll likely serve in a situational role again next season after logging 36 percent of the defensive snaps in 2015.

Injury
Shoulder - IR. Out for season
Aaron Dobson
News
The Patriots have placed Dobson (ankle) on IR, ESPN's Mike Reiss reports.

With Dobson headed to IR, Julian Edelman out indefinitely, plus Danny Amendola and Keshawn Martin also banged up, we'd expect the Patriots to make a move to add some wideout depth in the coming days.

Injury
Brian Tyms
News
The Patriots re-signed receiver Brian Tyms after declining to tender him as a restricted free agent, according to the NFL transaction wire. Tyms, 26, played in 11 games last year, catching five passes for 82 yards and a touchdown.
Injury
Undisclosed - IR. Out for season
Bryan Stork
News
The Patriots placed center Bryan Stork on short-term injured reserve Wednesday. He can't practice for six weeks and won't be eligible to play in a game until after eight weeks.

To take his spot on the roster, the Patriots signed defensive back Justin Coleman.

Rob Ninkovich
News
Ninkovich was on the field for 81.4 percent of the Patriots' defensive snaps this past season, ESPN's Mike Reiss reports.

As an IDP, Ninkovich's value saw a bit of a dip in 2015, as he saw his tackle total drop to 52 and his sack tally fall to 6.5. Still, the 31-year-old was a key cog on the team's defensive line along with Chandler Jones and Jabaal Sheard, a role he'll capably reprise in 2016, the final year of his current deal with the Patriots.
