Geno Smith
News
Smith appeared in one game in 2015 and completed 27-of-42 passes for 265 yards and two touchdowns along with an interception on November 1 against the Raiders.

Smith was battling for the Jets starting quarterback job with Ryan Fitzpatrick before breaking his jaw during the preseason. Fitzpatrick went on to have the best season of his career, and Smith only saw the field when a thumb injury forced Fitzpatrick out of the game against the Raiders. Smith is entering the last year of his rookie deal, though his base salary is only $675,000, which should help him to finish out his deal with the Jets, likely as a backup.

Erin Henderson
News
Jets linebacker Erin Henderson has a Grade 2 MCL sprain an MRI confirmed Friday, according to Nj.com.

Henderson suffered the injury during Thursday's preseason loss to the Lions. He will be out for a week because of the setback.

Last season, Henderson recorded 112 tackles, four sacks, two interceptions and a forced fumble in 14 games.

Sheldon Richardson
News
Richardson pleaded guilty Tuesday to resisting arrest, speeding and running a red light in an incident that took place in July, ESPN New York's Rich Cimini reports.

Shortly after it was discovered that he'd be suspended for the first four games of the 2015 season for violating the NFL's policy on substances of abuse, Richardson was arrested for taking part in a high-speed race in St. Louis. He may open the season with a suspension for a second straight year, but he'll likely escape with a ban that lasts fewer than four games. Richardson will be playing for a new contract in 2016, after notching five sacks in 11 appearances during the 2015 season.

Darrin Walls
News
Jets tight end Zach Sudfeld and cornerback Darrin Walls were held out of Thursday's OTA session because of injuries, the team announced.

Sudfeld is dealing with a knee injury and coach Todd Bowles said Sudfeld is undergoing tests on the knee and he said it may be more than a minor injury, reports ESPNNewYork.com.

Meanwhile, a toe injury prevented Walls from participating Thursday.

Jarvis Harrison

Lawrence Okoye
News
The 49ers waived 10 players on Monday. They were K Corey Acosta, LB Steve Beauharnais, CB Mylan Hicks, T Sean Hooey, WR Mario Hull, WR Chuck Jacobs, WR Nigel King, LB Shawn Lemon, FB Trey Millard and DL Lawrence Okoye.

Additionally, the 49ers placed G/C Daniel Kilgore on the PUP list to start the season and WR DeAndre Smelter on the NFI list. The team also placed WR Dres Anderson and LB Desmond Bishop on injured reserve.

Taiwan Jones

Damon Harrison
News
Nose tackle Damon Harrison said Wednesday that he had signed his offer sheet with the Jets, meaning the restricted free agent is signed through the 2015 season on a one-year, $2.35 million contract, per NJ.com.

The move was not a surprise, considering Harrison has been working out with the team during voluntary camps. He tallied 30 solo tackles last season for New York.

Zac Stacy
News
Stacy was placed on injured reserve Saturday, Seth Walder of the New York Daily News reports.

This move was considered a formality as Stacy was expected to miss the rest of the season after fracturing his ankle during last Thursday's game against the Bills. Bilal Powell and Stevan Ridley will likely see a few extra opportunities out of the backfield with Stacy now out, but unless starting running back Chris Ivory goes down with an injury, neither should be expected to be a reliable fantasy contributor.

Mike Catapano
News
After missing the entire 2014 season with a gastrointestinal virus, Chiefs defensive end Mike Catapano was able to participate in the team's OTA on Wednesday, reports The Kansas City Star.

"Every time I step on the field now it's with purpose and with extra vigor that I never really had," Catapano said. "It feels great. I feel better than ever."

Catapano played in 15 games during his rookie season in 2013 and he totaled four tackles and one sack. He said he's ready to surpass that in 2015.

"I'm ready to show that I offer a lot to this team. I'm ready to step up in big situations and starting situations," Catapano said. "I just want to keep getting better every day… and play to the best of my abilities."

Injury
Foot - IR. Out for season
Demario Davis
News
Davis recorded two sacks along with 90 tackles in 2015.

After posting consecutive seasons with at least 107 tackles, Davis fell off and only recorded 90 this season despite playing in all 16 games. He'll be a free agent this offseason and he'll likely find a landing spot as an inside linebacker, allowing him to pile up tackles.

Stevan Ridley
News
Ridley had nine rushes for 29 yards and caught both of his past targets for 0 yards Sunday against the Bills.

Ridley spent the first half of the season on the PUP list and he struggled greatly in his first six games, indicating he wasn't likely fully recovered from his ACL injury. However, in his last two games, he averaged four yards per carry and appeared to be much closer to his pre-injury form. He'll be a free agent this off-season, and he'll hope to find a role in a RBBC. Depending on his landing spot, he has some sleeper appeal as he'll have a full off-season without having to rehab his knee.

Trevor Reilly
News
Jets linebacker Trevor Reilly sustained a head injury during Sunday’s game against the Vikings. The team reported Reilly will not return.
Kenbrell Thompkins
News
Thompkins (leg) failed to catch any of his four pass targets Sunday against the Bills.

In the last drive of the game, Thompkins had a ball knocked free from his grasp on the play he could've easily turned into a game-winning touchdown. Over the last three seasons, he has 427 receiving yards and no touchdowns, and he'll hope to latch on to a roster as a fourth or fifth receiver.

Zach Sudfeld
News
After tight end Zach Sudfeld cleared waivers Wednesday, the Jets placed him on injured reserve, the team announced.

Sudfeld suffered a knee injury during practice last week. In 16 games last season, Sudfeld caught five passes for 85 yards.

Injury
Knee - IR. Out for season
Marcus Gilchrist
News
Gilchrist recorded three tackles Sunday against the Jaguars.

Although Blake Bortles through 40 passes in this game, Gilchrist failed to record an interception in his third straight contest. In addition, he now has recorded fewer than four tackles in five of his last seven games.

Julian Stanford
News
The Lions put cornerback Nevin Lawson (dislocated toes) on injured reserve, signed cornerback Danny Gorrer and promoted linebacker Julian Stanford from the practice squad.
Antonio Allen
News
The Jets have placed safety Antonio Allen on season-ending injured reserve Monday after having dispatched him to the waived/injured list Friday, per Associated Press. He tore an Achilles tendon during practice the previous day.

The team has also announced the activation of defensive lineman Kevin Vickerson from the active/physically unable to perform list.

Injury
Achilles - IR. Out for season
Eric Decker
News
Decker (knee) caught five of eight targets for 50 yards and a touchdown Sunday against the Bills.

With his performance in this game, Decker has now posted at least 1,000 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns for the third time in the last four seasons. Next year, he'll be in the third of a five-year contract with the Jets and will likely be a top-18 fantasy option at wide receiver on draft day.

Tommy Bohanon
News
The Jets placed fullback Tommy Bohanon on injured reserve, ending his season. He'll undergo surgery for a broken collarbone.
Ryan Quigley
News
The Redskins have signed punter Ryan Quigley, per the National Football Post.

Quigley served as the starter the last two seasons with the Jets, averaging 45.7 yards per boot.

The team has also cut quarterback Hutson Mason.

Chris Owusu
News
Owusu (concussion) has been waived/injured by the Jets.

Owusu being waived comes while he's trying to overcome a concussion. If no team claims him off waivers, Owusu will revert to the Jets' injured reserve list. In a corresponding roster move, the Jets activated running back Stevan Ridley on Friday.

Injury
Deon Simon
News
Jets tight end Jeff Cumberland (concussion) did not travel with the team to London, where the team plays the Dolphins on Sunday.

With the Jets having waived nose tackle Deon Simon after practice Wednesday, we'd expect the team to add tight end depth to the roster in advance of the game.

Quincy Enunwa
News
Enunwa (neck)caught one of four pass targets for 5 yards Sunday against the Bills.

Enunwa just completed the first of a three-year contract with the Jets. With the Jets leaning heavily upon Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker in the passing game, Enunwa saw between three and four targets in the majority of his games, and he ended the season with 315 receiving yards. It's unlikely that he'll be drafted in standard-size redraft leagues in 2016, but he certainly has run to grow in the Jets offense.

Antonio Cromartie
News
Cromartie finished the season with 29 tackles and zero interceptions.

The 31-year-old was frequently burned by opposing wide receivers while failing to intercept a single pass. Although he'll enter the second year of a four-year contract, there's no guaranteed money remaining in his deal, making him a probable candidate for offseason release.

Leonard Williams
News
Williams recorded three sacks and 63 tackles in his rookie season.

Williams showed improvement throughout his rookie campaign and recorded 2.5 of this three sacks over the last five games of the season. He has three years remaining on his rookie deal, and if the Jets decided to let Muhammad Wilkerson walk in free agency, he'd become an immediate starter. However, if Wilkerson re-signs, the team could have three excellent defensive linemen to form an impressive rotation.

Bryce Petty
News
Coach Todd Bowles said Monday quarterbacks Ryan Fitzpatrick (thumb) and Geno Smith (shoulder) are "in the same boat" in terms of their chances of playing Sunday against the Jaguars, ESPN's Rich Cimini reports.

Per Cimini, the Jets' Week 9 starter is "a multiple choice QB question," with options including Fitzpatrick, Smith, Bryce Petty or even a yet-to-be-signed signal-caller. It's a situation to stay away from this week in Fantasy, unless things clear up in short order, which seems like an unlikely scenario here.

Jeff Cumberland
News
Cumberland was active, but didn't see a pass target Sunday against the Bills.

Cumberland ended the season with five receptions for 77 yards and only saw a single pass target over his last seven games. Next year, he'll enter the last year of a three-year contract with the Jets. In the current Jets offensive scheme, it's unlikely that he'll ever be featured in the offense.

Stephen Bowen
News
The Jets signed defensive end Stephen Bowen to a contract, the team announced on Tuesday.

Bowen has spent his entire career in the NFC East with the Cowboys and Redskins. He entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2006 and signed with Dallas. After five years with the Cowboys, he signed with the Redskins and spent four seasons before being released this offseason.

In his nine-year career, Bowen has totaled 168 tackles and 12 1/2 sacks.

Darrelle Revis
News
Revis recovered a fumble and recorded six tackles Sunday against the Bills.

Revis finished the first of a five-year contract with five interceptions and 33 tackles. Although he doesn't seem to be quite as dominant as he was in his twenties, he still one of the better cornerbacks in the NFL.

Muhammad Wilkerson
News
Wilkerson (fractured tibia) is expected to require six months for recovery and rehab, Manish Mehta of the NY Daily News reports.

Given that Wilkerson suffered the injury in Week 17 and had surgery shortly thereafter, he can safely be ruled out for offseason activities. He does have a shot to be ready for the start of training camp, but with his rookie contract set to expire, it's unclear what team he will be playing for. Even with Sheldon Richardson and Leonard Williams also in the fold, the Jets are believed to have serious interest in ponying up to keep Wilkerson around. The injury might lead to a slight discount, but Wilkerson will inevitably still become one of the league's highest-paid defensive players.

Leger Douzable
News
The Jets have re-signed defensive end Leger Douzable, according to NJ.com. Douzable totaled 25 tackles in 2014 with 2 1/2 sacks as a backup to Muhammad Wilkerson. The details of the agreement were not immediately known. He earned $1 million on a one-year contract in 2014.
Nick Mangold
News
Jets wide receiver Percy Harvin has been declared inactive for Week 17’s game against the Dolphins.

Harvin is nursing a rib injury he suffered during Week 16’s game against the Patriots.

Also listed as inactive are T.J. Barnes, Jaiquawn Jarrett, Wesley Johnson, Nick Mangold, Walt Powell and Matt Simms.

Dexter McDougle
News
According to the team's official website, the following players are not expected to dress for the Jets Friday night against the Giants: Dimitri PattersonJalen Saunders, Dee Milliner, Dexter McDougle, IK Enemkpali, Jeff Cumberland, Antwan Barnes.
Bilal Powell
News
Powell ended the season with 701 yards from scrimmage along with three touchdowns.

He started out the season as a change-of-pace option for Chris Ivory, but near the end of the season, Powell was the Jets most effective running back before missing Week 17 with an ankle injury. He'll be a free agent this offseason, and although he was productive for a stretch this season, he missed five games due to injury. Due to his lack of a proven track record along with durability questions, he's likely going to sign a contract as a receiving back in a committee. His fantasy value will be directly related to where he lands in 2016.

Brandon Bostick
News
The Vikings have claimed former Packers tight end Brandon Bostick, the team announced on Wednesday.

The 6-foor-3, 250-pound tight end was waived by Green Bay on Monday, about a month after his mistake on an onside kick allowed the Seahawks to come back and win the NFC Championship Game. Bostick spent two seasons with the Packers and registered nine catches for 123 yards and two touchdowns. With the addition of Bostick, the Vikings now have five tight ends on the active roster (Kyle Rudolph, Rhett Ellison, Chase Ford, Ryan Otten).

Calvin Pryor
News
Pryor ended the 2015 season with two interceptions, a forced fumble and 69 tackles.

Although Pryor only played in 13 games this year, he showed improvement in his second season, as he intercepted the first two passes of his career and increased his tackle total by nine from his rookie year. He's clearly in position to continue his progression, especially with head coach Todd Bowles preparing for his second season with the team's defensive system. Pryor's under contract for two more years with the Jets before the team can choose to exercise a fifth-year option in 2018.

Wes Saxton
News
Saxton was signed to the practice squad Wednesday.

If Jeff Cumberland or Kellen Davis are forced to miss time, Saxton would likely be moved from the practice squad to the active roster. He played 12 snaps in Week 4, but was previously removed from the active roster when Sheldon Richardson was reinstated from suspension.

Jaiquawn Jarrett
News
The Jets announced that they have tendered nose tackle Damon Harrison and safety Jaiquawn Jarrett. Both players were restricted free agents.

Harrison is the team's starting nose tackle, while Jarrett is a backup safety.

If a team wants to sign Harrison, and the Jets don't match the offer, the Jets would receive a second-round pick in this year's draft due to his tender.

For Jarrett to be signed by an opposing team, they would have to give up a third-round draft choice.

Both contracts are worth $2.356 million.

Injury
Randy Bullock
News
Bullock made 1-of-2 field-goal attempts while adding a pair of extra points Sunday against the Bills.

Playing for two different teams this year, Bullock connected on 19-of-23 field-goal attempts, but will likely have to find a new job as Nick Folk should return from his injury and is under contract with the Jets in 2016. His fantasy value will be dependent upon where he ends up next year.

Tanner Purdum
News
Long snapper Tanner Purdum has re-signed with the Jets, according to the Associated Press.

Purdum, 29, has played 783 snaps since joining the Jets. He has never fumbled a snap, had a wild snap or been penalized.

Julian Howsare
No Updates
Calvin Pace
News
Pace (abdomen) is active for Sunday's game against the Patriots.

Pace has not put up huge tackle numbers this year, but he does have three sacks and is available for IDP consideration if you need help.

Ryan Fitzpatrick
News
Fitzpatrick completed 16-of-37 passes for 181 yards and two touchdowns and three interceptions while adding two rushes for 12 yards Sunday against the Bills.

With the Jets needing a fourth quarter touchdown to clinch a playoff spot, Fitzpatrick threw three interceptions in that final quarter, and the team will now be home for the postseason. However, he finished the best season of his career, throwing 31 touchdown passes with 15 interceptions, and he'll project to be a solid starting fantasy option in 2016.

Josh Martin
News
Linebacker Josh Martin was signed by the Bucs on Tuesday, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers official website reports.

The third-year pro spent the last two seasons with Kansas City, and is currently listed as Lavonte David's primary backup at weakside linebacker on the Bucs depth chart. However, Martin figures to see the bulk of his playing time on special teams, where he excelled in 2014 over 321 snaps while with the Chiefs.

Joe Anderson
News
The Eagles signed receiver Joe Anderson, who appeared in nine games for the Bears over the past two seasons. Anderson, 25, played mainly on special teams, returning five kickoffs in 2013 for an average of 16.4 yards.
Kellen Davis
News
Davis (foot)failed to catch his lone pass target Sunday against the Bills.

Davis finished his eighth season in the league with three receptions for 18 yards and a touchdown. He'll be a free agent this off-season and hope to land a spot as part of a team's tight end rotation.

David Harris
News
Harris recorded 14 tackles Sunday against the Bills.

In his age-31 season, Harris posted his fourth straight year with at least 108 tackles. In 2016, he'll be in the second of a three-year deal and should continue to be an excellent fantasy option based on his triple-digit tackle ability.

Dion Bailey
News
Bailey (ankle) is listed as out for Thursday's game against the Bills.

With both Bailey and Calvin Pryor out this week, look for Rontez Miles to start at safety opposite Marcus Gilchrist on Thursday.

D'Brickashaw Ferguson
News
Free agent tackle Corey Hilliard is expected to meet with the Jets, per Pro Football Talk.

Hilliard has played eight seasons in the NFL, the last six with the Lions.

Hilliard missed most of 2014 with a foot injury suffered during the season opener.

If the Jets sign Hilliard it's expected he'll serve as a swing tackle behind D'Brickashaw Ferguson and Breno Giacomini.
Rontez Miles
News
Jets safety Rontez Miles is lucky to have another chance in the NFL. A freak injury last season almost took this opportunity away, per ESPN.com.

Just before Miles was to make his 2014 debut last December, he suffered what appeared to be a basic calf bruise after a collision with teammate Marcus Williams. He soon realized this was no regular injury. Miles developed compartment syndrome, meaning the blood flow to his calf was restricted because of a buildup of pressure.

Miles was rushed to a hospital and underwent emergency surgery.

"It could've been amputated or the muscle could've been destroyed," Miles said after Wednesday's organized team activities. "It could've been a couple of months or a year or so of recovery, and it would've been hard to come back from that."

Miles has been fighting for a spot on the Jets' roster for the better part of two years. He played in one game in 2013 and was ready for another chance last season before his freak injury. His goal will be even harder now because the safety position is now very crowded, but that won't deter Miles.

"Hey, I can't complain," Miles said. "I'm here and I'm playing football."

Jeremy Kerley
News
Kerley ended the 2015 season with 16 receptions for 152 yards and two touchdowns as a receiver, though he spent the majority of his time as a kick returner.

With the Jets having the ability to create $1.3MM by cutting Kerley in the offseason, as reported by NJ.com, the team could create more cap space to go after potential free agents this offseason. Based on his role in 2015, it would seem probable that Kerley's seen his last game with the team.

Chris Ivory
News
Ivory (knee) had six rushes for 81 yards Sunday against the Bills.

Ivory just completed the first 1,000-yard season of his career, ending the campaign with 1,070 yards. After starting out this season with four straight excellent performances, he clearly slowed down over the course of the year. He'll go into the off-season as a free agent, as his three-year contract has expired. If he's able to secure a role as a lead runner, he'll continue to be a solid weekly option for fantasy teams.

Ben Ijalana
News
The Jets lost three players to concussions and three others to an assortment of injuries in Friday's preseason game against Atlanta, per ESPN.

Wide receiver Jeremy Kerley, safety Durell Eskridge and running back Daryl Richardson all left with concussions.

Offensive tackle Ben Ijalana left the game with a knee injury. Shaq Evans sprained his back, and Sashaun Phillips hurt his ribs.

Wesley Johnson

James Carpenter
News
The Jets will sign free agent guard James Carpenter to a four-year, $19 million deal, reports Yahoo Sports. Carpenter started 39 games for the Seahawks over the past four seasons.

Deals can't be signed until 4 p.m. ET Tuesday.

Marcus Williams
News
Williams (knee) is active for Saturday's game against the Cowboys.

Williams missed the previous two games with a knee injury, but he was able to practice fully all week in preparation for Saturday's game. However, with Darrelle Revis and Antonio Cromartie fully healthy heading into the marquee matchup, Williams only figures to see the field in obvious passing situations.

Lorenzo Mauldin
News
Jets linebacker Lorenzo Mauldin (concussion) is inactive for Monday night's game against the Colts.

The 2015 third-rounder, who recorded a forced fumble in Week 1 prior to being carted off, will sit this one out, but once he returns to action, Mauldin figure to be in line to reclaim his role in the Jets' outside linebacker rotation.

Willie Colon

Jets right guard Willie Colon understands the rumblings about how his career is fading away, but he won't let that stop him from fighting for a spot on the team, per Nj.com.

"I understand why people feel that way," Colon said. "My injury report hasn't been the best at times. When people tag that with how old I am, it's easy to say, 'Hey, maybe he should ride off into the sunset.' But I know I have a heart of a lion, and I'm going to determine my own future. I believe I'm the master of my own fate."

Colon is in camp surrounded by much younger players he probably needs to beat out in order to protect his spot on the team.

"Yeah, you do have that sense of anxiety, like, 'Hey, man, this could be the end as a Jet. Or maybe I may be taking my talents somewhere [else],'" Colon said. "I can't think about the what-ifs."

Marshall (ankle) caught eight of his team-high 15 targets for 126 yards and a touchdown Sunday against the Bills.

At 31 years old, Marshall just completed the best season of his career in his first year with the Jets. His 1,504 receiving yards was just 4 yards short of his career-high, and his 14 touchdowns were two more than he had in any other season. He's under contract with the Jets for two more years, and he'll likely be a top-six fantasy option at wide receiver next year.

The Jets will make their 2015 season debut Sunday against the Browns, and the team will have plenty of new defensive acquisitions on display.

The secondary will feature the additions of cornerbacks Darrelle Revis and Antonio Cromartie, nickel corner Buster Skrine and free safety Marcus Gilchrist. Plus, first-round pick Leonard Williams will move into the starting lineup due to Sheldon Richardson's four-game suspension.

"I believe we can be as good as we want," defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson said, per NJ.com. "We can be great. We can be the No. 1 defense in the league. We've just got to come in each and every week improving and do our jobs every Sunday."

The Jets defense is expected to be aggressive, especially with the blitz, under first-year coach Todd Bowles.

"This defense should be a playoff defense," Skrine said. "The defense should get us in the playoffs. We have the defense to it. We've got a lot of talent on this defense. It's just about all coming together."
