Brandon Siler, Larry English and Paul Oliver all recovered fumbles on Sunday in a Week 12 Chargers win over the Chiefs. Siler also led the team in tackles with nine. Oliver returned his fumble recovery 40 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter.

The Chargers signed WR Gary Banks, LB Darry Beckwith, CB Simeon Castille, DE Andre Coleman, LB James Holt and FB Billy Latsko to their practice squad on Sunday.

Chargers TE Antonio Gates had a solid performance on Sunday in a Week 12 win over the Chiefs. He had two touchdowns and 118 yards on seven receptions in the 43-14 victory. His first TD pass in the first quarter was from 19 yards out and the second TD grab came from 15 yards out in the second quarter. Gates was the team’s leader in both receptions and receiving yards.

San Diego QB Charlie Whitehurst, DB Dante Hughes, RB Michael Bennett, DB C.J. Spillman, DL Luis Castillo and WR Craig Davis have all been listed as inactive for the team's Week 12 game against the Chiefs.

Chargers DB Kevin Ellison led the team with seven tackles on Monday night in a loss to Denver.

Chargers DL Ryon Bingham was placed on injured reserve Saturday with a triceps tear.

Triceps - IR. Out for the season

The Chargers have re-signed veteran defensive tackle Ian Scott, releasing safety Clinton Hart to make room for him. Scott was the backup to nose tackle Jamal Williams, who suffered a season-ending elbow injury. The Bolts cut Scott before the season.

Chargers RB Darren Sproles wasn’t all that effective on the ground but did manage a better performance catching the ball out of the backfield in a Week 12 win over the Chiefs. Sproles carried the ball nine times in the game and gained 17 yards. He had five receptions, gaining 66 yards.

Chargers DB Steve Gregory recovered the first two fumbles of his career Week 11 at Denver. He also had three tackles, two solo.

The San Diego Chargers placed defensive tackle Jamal Williams on Reserve-Injured with a tricep injury. Williams will miss the remainder of the ’09 season. To fill Williams’ place on the active roster, the team signed defensive end Andre Coleman from its practice squad.

Elbow - IR. Out for the season

The San Diego Chargers have signed defensive tackle Alfonso Boone to help fill the void left when Jamal Williams was lost for the season with a triceps injury. Boone spent the last two seasons with the AFC West rival Kansas City Chiefs. He was released in the final roster cutdown. The Chargers released defensive end Andre Coleman to make room on the roster.

The San Diego Chargers have signed rookie linebacker James Holt from the practice squad to fill the roster spot created when wide receiver Chris Chambers was released. Holt originally joined the Chargers in May as a free agent. He was released at the conclusion of training camp and added to the practice squad. The Chargers need a linebacker because Tim Dobbins is expected to be out for two weeks after sustaining a knee injury in Sunday's 24-16 win over Oakland. The Chargers signed linebacker Jeremy Leman to the practice squad.

The Chargers released five players on Tuesday to get their roster down to 75 players, notes the team's official website. Quarterback Casey Bramlet, WR Billy Pittman, TE John Tereshinski and WR Marco Thomas.

Chargers LB Kevin Burnett, who had only one sack all season, recorded two at Denver in Week 11. He finished with eight tackles, including six solo.

Chargers LB Shaun Phillips recorded his sixth sack of the season Week 11 at Denver, also forcing a fumble. All six of his sacks have come in his last five games.

Ankle - Probable for Week 12 vs. Kansas City

Chargers RB LaDainian Tomlinson had his third multi-touchdown game of the season on Sunday in a Week 12 win over the Chiefs. He only managed to gain 39 yards on the ground but found the end zone twice on 13 carries. His longest run of the day went only 8 yards. His TDs came from 1 and 3 yards out. He also caught a pass that was good for 5 yards. He also coughed the ball up at the goal line once on what could have been a third TD for him. Tomlinson began the day 12th on the all-time list with 12,218 yards. He passed Marcus Allen (12,243) on a 5-yard carry in the first quarter and Edgerrin James (12,246) on an 8-yard run in the second. Tomlinson now has 12,257 for his career. Up next is Marshall Faulk in ninth with 12,279 yards.

Chargers FS Eric Weddle left in the second quarter of Sunday's game against the Chiefs because of a knee injury and did not return. Weddle had two tackles in the game before leaving with the injury.

Knee - Left Week 12 vs. Kansas City

Chargers QB Philip Rivers put together a solid performance on Sunday in a Week 12 win over the Chiefs. He completed 21 of his 28 passes in the game, throwing for 317 yards and two touchdowns. Both of the TD passes went to TE Antonio Gates. Rivers also carried the ball once for 4 yards. His passer rating for the game was 135.6.

Chargers DB Antonio Cromartie recorded his third interception of the season and third in his last four games Week 11 at Denver. He finished with four solo tackles.

Chargers QB Charlie Whitehurst, DB Dante Hughes, ILB Tim Dobbins, WR Craig Davis, DE Vaughn Martin and OLB Jyles Tucker have all been listed as inactive for the team's Week 10 game against the Eagles.

Chargers WR Vincent Jackson had a relatively quiet game on Sunday in a Week 12 blowout win over the Chiefs. He had just two receptions in the game for a total of 27 yards. He also had one carry for 12 yards, failing to score a touchdown.

Chargers RB Jacob Hester had three carries for 3 yards and one reception for 3 yards on Sunday in a Week 12 win over the Chiefs.

Chargers QB Billy Volek got a few snaps on Sunday in a Week 12 win over the Chiefs. He completed his only pass for 15 yards and lost 2 yards on two carries.

Groin - Probable for Week 12 vs. Kansas City

Chargers LB Stephen Cooper totaled 13 tackles (seven solo) during a Week 9 win against the Giants. He has 66 tackles on the season and had his fourth double-digit tackle performance against New York.

Chargers PK Nate Kaeding accounted for 11 points on Sunday in a Week 12 win over the Chiefs. He hit both of the field goals he attempted, including a 55-yarder in the third quarter. Kaeding also made all five of the extra points he attempted.

The Chargers placed LB Antwan Applewhite on the IR on Tuesday and signed former Colts CB Dante Hughes to take his place on the active roster. Applewhite, a second-year pro, suffered a hamstring injury in the Chargers' season opener at Oakland and hasn't played since. He returned to practice last week and re-aggravated the injury. He is expected to undergo surgery.

A San Diego Chargers running back from Philadelphia was hospitalized after being shot in his car at a suburban intersection. A hospital spokesman said 23-year-old Curtis Brinkley is in stable condition in the intensive care unit at Albert Einstein Medical Center. An uncle, Gregory Brinkley, told WPVI-TV that he was able to talk with relatives on the phone.

Chargers RB Mike Tolbert was a bit more involved in the offense than normal on Sunday in a Week 12 win over the Chiefs. He carried the ball four times, gaining a total of 19 yards. He also had two catches for 17 yards in the contest.

The San Diego Chargers have placed linebacker Jyles Tucker on the injured reserve list, meaning he's finished for the season. Tucker suffered an ankle injury in a win at the New York Giants two weeks ago. He appeared in seven games as a reserve and was inactive for two others.

San Diego DL Ogemdi Nwagbuo was able to sack Oakland QB JaMarcus Russell on Monday in Week 1's 24-20 win. He also made two tackles in the game.
