Seahawks DL Raheem Brock, who entered the game with only one sack all season, recorded two in Week 15 at Chicago. He also had five tackles on the day, including four solo.

Receiver Stephen Williams (Achilles) and linebacker Brandon Williams (shoulder) were waived/injured by the Cardinals Friday.

Seattle wide receiver Charly Martin suffered a strained calf in practice on Thursday and has been placed on injured reserve. The Seahawks signed wide receiver Deon Butler to replace Martin on the roster.

Seahawks linebacker K.J. Wright stayed productive as he picked up his first sack of the season during Sunday's contest at home against the 49ers in Week 16. Wright took Colin Kaepernick down in the second quarter for a loss of 13 yards. He registered seven tackles (five solo) in a 42-13 victory.

The Seahawks placed LB David Vobora on injured reserve on Monday and claimed LB Adrian Moten off waivers. Vobora injured his shoulder in Week 12 against the Redskins.

DE Jimmy Wilkerson, who injured his knee in Friday's preseason game against the Raiders, was one of three players placed on injured reserve Saturday along with TE John Carlson and WR Isaiah Stanback.

The Minnesota Vikings began trimming their roster Saturday and released the following players: running back Derrick Coleman; linebacker Solomon Elimimian; defensive back Corey Gatewood; defensive lineman Anthony Jacobs; wide receiver Kamar Jorden; wide receiver A.J. Love; linebacker Tyler Nielsen; defensive lineman Ernest Owusu; defensive lineman Tydreke Powell; defensive back Chris Stroud; wide receiver Kerry Taylor; and wide receiver Bryan Walters.

Notable players cut by the Seahawks on Saturday include: DE Pierre Allen, FB Dorson Boyce, WR Chris Carter, RB Thomas Clayton, DT Colin Cole, CB Kennard Cox, DL Maurice Fountain, DE David Howard, LB Michael Johnson, LB/DE Jameson Konz, FS Mark LeGree, WR Ricardo Lockette, LB Mike Morgan, S Josh Pinkard, DE A.J. After releasing him earlier this week to clear a roster spot, Seattle added wide receiver Deon Butler back to the team on Friday. It's the third stint with the Seahawks Butler has had this season. Seattle released defensive back Ron Parker to open a spot on the roster.

The Seahawks released tight end Evan Moore on Tuesday and promoted tight end Sean McGrath from the practice squad.

The Seahawks and safety Kam Chancellor have agreed to a four-year extension according to multiple reports.

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said receiver Doug Baldwin "has done really well" so far this offseason. "At this time last year Doug was pressing a little bit, and he was coming off his great first season," Carroll said. "I think he came in just wanting to do so much. You can just see how relaxed he is now, he’s playing like a vet, he knows our system, he’s working great with the quarterback, and he does so many intricate things. It’s really good to see him out here working, and he’s competing, too. He knows Percy (Harvin) is coming in here to play some snaps at the slot, and he’s showing his best, and he’s making every claim for why he’s been a good football player for us, and why we’re going to play him coming this fall. He’s doing great.”

For the second week in a row, Seattle running back Michael Robinson found the end zone, as he caught a touchdown pass during Sunday's NFC Wild Card game at Washington. Robinson caught a 4-yard touchdown pass from Russell Wilson in the second quarter to help chip away from a 14-point deficit. He finished with two catches for 23 yards and a touchdown and also ran the ball one time for a 3-yard gain in a 24-14 victory.

Seahawks defensive lineman Chris Clemons suffered a torn ACL and meniscus during Sunday's NFC Wild Card game against the Redskins and will miss the remainder of the playoffs. Clemons was scheduled to meet with Dr. James Andrews Monday.

The Seahawks signed quarterback Jerrod Johnson, formerly of the Steelers.

Seahawks kicker Ryan Longwell managed four extra points during a 30-28 Divisional Playoff loss Sunday at Atlanta. He attempted no field goals.

Defensive tackle Red Bryant agreed to terms on a new contract with the Seahawks on Tuesday, keeping their unique, 325-pound defensive end from bolting out of town. ESPN.com reported Bryant agreed to a $35 million deal over five years with $14.5 million in guarantees. Bryant transformed into one of Seattle's most valuable defensive players after appearing on his way out of the NFL after the 2009 season. It was after that season that Carroll arrived in Seattle and decided to implement a slightly different defensive scheme where Bryant was shifted from defensive tackle to defensive end. Bryant quickly flourished playing the "5" technique on Seattle's defensive line, where his main responsibility was to be a space-eating run stuffer and hold the point of attack on the defensive edge.

ESPN reports that Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett has been diagnosed with a torn rotator cuff. Bennett signed with Seattle earlier in the month after spending each of the last four seasons with the Buccaneers.

Shoulder - Questionable for the start of training camp

The Seahawks have selected Penn State defensive tackle Jordan Hill with the No. 87 overall pick in the third round of the NFL Draft. After surprising most by selecting a running back in the second round on Friday, the Seahawks went back with the expected in the next round. At 6-foot-1, 303 pounds, Hill fulfills Seattle's desire to continue adding depth on the defensive line. It was a point of emphasis in free agency with the Seahawks signing Cliff Avril, Tony McDaniel and Michael Bennett. Hill was a first-team all-Big Ten selection as a senior at Penn State when he had 64 tackles, 4.5 sacks and an interception. Hill started every game in his junior and senior seasons and played in 45 total over four seasons at Penn State.

Seahawks defensive end Cliff Avril participated in the team's final minicamp practice last week and should be ready for the start of training camp in late July, per the Seattle Times. Avril was suffering from plantar fascia. 

Foot - Questionable for start of training camp

Seattle backup running back Robert Turbin did little in the Week 17 regular-season finale against the Rams. Turbin rushed twice in the game but finished with minus-5 yards. He added one catch for positive yardage as he went for 12 yards. He was only targeted once in the game.

Seattle on Wednesday announced the signing of restricted free agent Clinton McDonald. Seattle had tendered a one-year qualifying offer to McDonald, who chose to sign and return as Seattle's backup nose tackle.

Tarvaris Jackson is expected to sign a one-year deal to return to the Seahawks. He'll likely compete with Brady Quinn for the right to back up Russell Wilson. He was released by the Bills on Monday night.

The Seattle Seahawks have re-signed LB Heath Farwell according to his agency's Twitter account. Farwell played only on special teams for Seattle after signing with the team in October. He recorded 21 tackles on special teams and blocked a punt in 11 games.

Seahawks defensive back Richard Sherman found out the results of his suspension appeal hearing Thursday, and the news was good. Sherman posted from his personal twitter account that he won the appeal, due to a claim that the chain of custody on his failed test sample was broken, thus making the results invalid. Sherman was facing a four-game suspension for violating the league’s performance-enhancing substance policy.

Seahawks linebacker Leroy Hill has been arrested after police say he assaulted his girlfriend and kept her in his home against her will. According to a release from the Issaquah Police Department on Wednesday morning, Hill was arrested on investigation of unlawful imprisonment-domestic violence and third-degree assault-domestic violence. Issaquah police said Hill would be booked into the King County Jail. Police said they responded to Hill's home around 4 p.m. Tuesday. A 26-year-old said she had been assaulted several times and was kept in Hill's home against her will. Police say the woman escaped the home when Hill used the bathroom. She was treated at a hospital and released. A Seahawks spokesman said the team is aware of the situation. Hill is scheduled to become a free agent this offseason.

The Seahawks made strides in improving its pass rush and creating depth on defense in the 2012 NFL Draft. They spent a first-round pick on West Virginia pass rush specialist Bruce Irvin and followed it up with Utah State linebacker Bobby Wagner in Round 2. The rest of the haul includes Florida defensive tackle Jaye Howard, Idaho linebacker Korey Toomer, Northwestern State cornerback Jeremy Lane, Kentucky safety Winston Guy, N.C. State defensive tackle J.R. Sweezy and Louisville defensive tackle Greg Scruggs.

The Seattle Seahawks have re-signed kicker Steven Hauschka. Last season he made 24 of 27 field goals as part of setting a career-high with 118 points, though he did miss two extra points.

The Seahawks promoted wide receiver Jermaine Kearse from the practice squad to the active roster Tuesday.

ESPN reported Seahawks defensive end Greg Scruggs suffered a torn ACL in April and will likely miss the entire season.

Knee - Doubtful for 2013 season

Marshawn Lynch joined his teammates for OTA practice on Wednesday after missing previous sessions. "We’re trying to get him all the way through this offseason and get him ready for the real season," coach Pete Carroll told the Seattle Times. "We know what Marshawn can do as long as he is in good shape and he’s in fantastic shape. He’s hard as a rock and he’s worked really hard to this point, so it’s really just take the next step, the next step, get him through mini-camp and then get him to the summer time and show up to camp and get him through the preseason so that he’s right and ready to go. There is so much wear on the tire and we don’t want to wear down now, we are not at that point where we should be pushing that as long as he is in great condition, which he is, so pleased with his progress at this point."

The Seattle Post-Intelligencer reports the Seahawks on Saturday selected wide receiver Chris Harper out of Kansas State with their fourth-round pick of the NFL Draft. Listed at 6-foot-1 and 230 pounds, Harper would be the biggest receiver on Seattle’s roster, though shorter than Sidney Rice. He led the Wildcats last year with 857 yards, and had three touchdowns on 58 receptions. “He’s just a bigger guy,” Trent Kirchner, Seahawks assistant director of pro personnel, told Seattle media Saturday. “He’s not a real tall guy, bet he does run with the strength after the catch. Not a real big make-you-miss guy, but he has the power to run through tackles.”

Seahawks tight end Cameron Morrah, tight end Jameson Konz, defensive lineman Lazarius Levingston and defensive back Roy Lewis were waived/injured Sunday. Wide receiver Phil Bates, defensive back Donny Lisowski, defensive back Ron Parker and running back Tyrell Sutton were waived.

Seattle placed DL Dexter Davis on injured reserve on Saturday before Week 2 at Pittsburgh. Davis is out for the season with a hip injury. The team signed CB Kennard Cox to add to the roster.

USA Today reports that new Seahawks receiver Percy Harvin has practiced as a slot receiver, outside receiver, running back and kick returner. Harvin sees similarities to how he was used under offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell in 2009 and 2010 in Minnesota, and also has had some flashbacks to his time at Florida, where he was the X-factor in the Gators' read-option offense. "We're always trying to find unique qualities in our guys, and then hopefully express that in our play," coach Pete Carroll said. "He's a different athlete, because not only is he so fast, but he's steel strong. Just really tough, physical for a guy who only weighs 197 pounds. We hope to see him catch the ball on the move, so he can use his stuff. That doesn't mean we give him the ball in the backfield just to hand it to him, we want to throw the ball to him all over the field. It's not going to change our football team in terms of what we want to do, we're just going to add him in and cut him loose, let him go."

Ankle - Probable for start of training camp

The Seattle Times reports that Seahawks receiver Sidney Rice was on crutches due to a knee injury on Monday following the playoff ouster at Atlanta. No injury was reported following the game, and Rice finished with four catches for 60 yards in the 30-28 loss to the Falcons.

Knee - Probable for start of training camp

Seahawks linebacker Malcolm Smith was forced to leave Thursday's game against the 49ers in the first half, as a result of a concussion. He would not return to the game.

The Giants added DB Will Blackmon to the roster on Wednesday and placed DB Michael Coe (shoulder) on IR.

The Seahawks have waived quarterback Josh Portis, who was arrested on suspicion of DUI recently.

Tight end Darren Fells re-signed with the Seahawks. He's the brother of NFL veteran Daniel Fells.

The Seahawks activated defensive back Winston Guy from their one-week roster exemption on Monday and waived wide receiver Deon Butler. Guy was suspended four games by the NFL in November for violating the leagues policy on performance-enhancing substances.

While Marshawn Lynch sits out some of the Seahawks OTAs, rookie running back Christine Michael has picked up a lot of extra work and has taken advantage of it. He's shown some incredible speed, explosiveness and change of direction on handoffs and seemingly has a good understanding of what's being asked of him according to coach Pete Carroll. Michael knows there's much to be done. "I want to become a better blocker, a better inside runner, goal-line runner -- improve my game in all aspects," Michael told the Tacoma News Tribune. Being a great pass protector is part of being a complete back -- protecting the quarterback, blocking the big linebackers; you've got to work at it."

In the wake of last month's torn Achilles tendon suffered by DE Da'Quan Bowers, the Bucs made two moves Monday, signing Wallace Gilberry and Jayme Mitchell. Mitchell, 26, has six years of NFL experience (four with Minnesota and two with Cleveland), and Gilberry, 27, has played four seasons with Kansas City. The team also announced they have released DE Hilee Taylor and waived DT Myles Wade.

Seattle released linebacker Matt McCoy on Saturday. McCoy was on injured reserve and received an injury settlement.

Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson told ESPN that if push came to shove he'd be willing to run, but it's not why he is where he is. Wilson believes he'll struggle to stay healthy if he runs amok even though he practices a conservative approach when running to get out of bounds and avoid big hits. "To be honest with you, I don’t really like running," Wilson said. "I’d rather throw the ball to guys and let the true playmakers make the plays. When I have to run to get a first down, I’ll do that. If something extra happens, that is always good, too."

Seahawks tight end Zach Miller missed Tuesday's minicamp practice with what coach Pete Carroll called a sore foot. He was wearing a boot on the same leg he suffered a torn plantar fascia against the Falcons in the playoffs last year, according to the Tacoma News Tribune.

Foot - Probable for start of training camp

The Seahawks placed defensive back Walter Thurmond (hamstring) on injured reserve Monday, ending his season after just two games. Thurmond, who missed the first six weeks of the season while recovering from a broken leg, had been inactive for the past three games with a hamstring injury. "He kind of retweaked it again last week," coach Pete Carroll said. "And that means it's going to be a couple weeks again."

Seahawks defensive back Jeron Johnson notched the first sack of his career and two solo tackles during Seattle's 30-20 win over Minnesota in Week 9. Johnson, in his 17th career game, produced one of the four sacks the Seahawks collected on quarterback Christian Ponder.

With the torn Achilles injury suffered by veteran Anthony McCoy expected to keep him our for much of the season, all eyes are on rookie Luke Wilson to step up and serve as the No. 2 tight end behind starter Zach Miller.

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said Wednesday that receiver Golden Tate is adjusting to the addition of Percy Harvin. “Initially, Golden wanted to know what it means to him, he was concerned about that," Carroll said. "I think he’s seen where it fits together, and I think he also respects Percy. We’ve got a really good group, and we’re not counting on anything going anyway tilting the field toward one guy or the other, we’re just going to go play football. We’re happy to have Golden coming back. Golden is really ready to be a terrific football player. We love what he does, and we just have to get him the ball more and spread it around to him. It took him a couple of years to get going, but now he’s legit for us and we love what he brings. He does different things from what Percy does, and Percy is a very unique quality guy. I think it’s going to fit together just fine.”

The Seahawks sign receiver Brett Swain to a contract.

The Seattle Seahawks have signed defensive tackle Tony McDaniel. According to the team he has totaled 119 total tackles, 8.5 sacks and 12 passes defensed since entering the league in 2006.

The following players were cut by the Chiefs Friday: defensive linemen Brandon Bair, defensive back Mikail Baker, wide receiver Josh Bellamy, fullback Patrick DiMarco, defensive back Chandler Fenner, defensive lineman Amon Gordon, wide receiver Junior Hemingway, defensive lineman Jerome Long, linebacker Gabe Miller, receiver Jamar Newsome, defensive back, Terrance Parks, defensive back Neiko Thorpe, safety Donald Washington and linebacker Leon Williams.

Seattle defensive back Brandon Browner was reinstated to the roster Monday after serving a four-game suspension for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances. He took the spot of fellow defensive back Walter Thurmond, who was placed on injured reserve. "He's worked out real hard," coach Pete Carroll said about Browner. "He's going to have fresh legs relative to other guys here 16 games into it."

Dexter Davis has been cut by the Seahawks.

The San Diego Chargers have released cornerback Dante Hughes and waived linebackers Everette Brown and Nate Triplett, and wide receiver Bryan Walters.

Seattle defensive end Bruce Irvin has been suspended without pay for the first four games of the 2013 regular season for violating the NFL policy on performance enhancing substances, the team reported Friday. Irvin will be eligible to return to the Seahawks' active roster on Monday, Sept. 30 following the team's Sept. 29 game against the Texans. Irvin is eligible to participate in all offseason and preseason practices and games. "I want to apologize to my teammates, coaches and Seahawks fans for making a mistake when I took a substance that is prohibited in the NFL without a medical exemption," Irvin said in a statement. "I am extremely disappointed in the poor judgment I showed and take full responsibility for my actions. I will not appeal the discipline and instead will focus my energy on preparing for the season so I can begin earning your trust and respect again. I look forward to contributing to the team the moment I return."

Suspension - Eligible to return Week 5 at Indianapolis

Free agent cornerback Antoine Winfield signed a one-year contract with the Seahawks, the team announced Saturday. Winfield, who was released by Minnesota back in March, finished with 101 tackles -- 72 solo -- and three interceptions with the Vikings last season.

The Seahawks announced Friday they have released veteran receiver Mike Williams. Williams finished last year with 18 catches for 236 yards and one touchdown after having 65 receptions in 2010 thanks in part to an ankle injury. "We would like to thank Mike for his contributions over the past two seasons and we wish him well in the future," said General Manager John Schneider in a statement.

Anthony McCoy will spend the 2013 season on injured reserve after clearing waivers this week. McCoy tore his Achilles in an OTA workout on May 21. It's the second time in four years he's been on IR.

Achilles - IR. Out for the season

Seattle defensive back Earl Thomas is active for the Week 17 finale against the Rams Sunday. Thomas was probable for the game and never seriously in jeopardy of missing time. He was dealing with an ankle issue.

The 49ers cut down the roster by 26 on Saturday to get to the league-mandated 53 players on deadline. Among the casualties were WRs Ronald Johnson, Joe Hastings, Lance Long and Chris Hogan, CBs Phillip Adams, Phillip Davis, and Cory Nelms, LB Alex Joseph, TE Nate Lawrie, C Chase Beeler, QB McLeod Bethel-Thomspon, FB Jack Corcoran, DT Brian Bulcke, S Chris Maragos, RB Xavier Omon, TE Konrad Reuland, LB Monte Simmons, LB Kenny Rowe, NT Sealver Siliga, FS Curtis Taylor, and DB Anthony West.
