St. Louis DB Darian Stewart notched seven tackles and forced a fumble during the Rams' 20-13 loss to Cincinnati in Week 15. Stewart stripped Cincinnati RB Cedric Benson -- one of three created by St. Louis -- but was unable to recover the fumble.

Rams S Craig Dahl had 12 tackles (10 solo) in the Rams' 24-10 loss to San Francisco. He also added a forced fumble.

The Rams have placed RB Brit Miller (knee) on injured reserve, a move coach Steve Spagnuolo alluded to on Tuesday. To fill Miller’s roster spot, the team re-signed DB Nate Ness, who was released on Dec. 6.

Rams K Josh Brown failed to make a field goal for the fifth time this season in Week 16 against the Steelers. He missed both of his field goal attempts and failed to converted an extra point in the 27-0 loss. Brown has made 73 percent (19 of 26) of his field goal attempts this season, the second-worst mark of his nine-year career.

Rams WR Brandon Lloyd capped off his season with a big game, hauling in six passes for 100 yards in a Week 17 loss to the 49ers. Lloyd played an important part in the Rams' late rally, as he scored on a 36-yard pass from QB Kellen Clemens with under five minutes left in the game. It marked the first time since Week 12 that Lloyd scored a touchdown, and it was the first time all season that he scored and gained 100 or more yards in a single game.

Rams WR Danario Alexander caught two passes for 25 yards in Week 16 against the Steelers. He was targeted five times in the contest and averaged 12.5 yards per grab. Alexander finished second on St. Louis in receiving behind Brandon Lloyd (29 yards) in the 27-0 loss.

Rams WR Greg Salas had a plate inserted to repair his fractured fibula on Thursday and also had some work done to repair his ankle, according to the team. Salas sustained the injury during Week 9 when an Arizona defender landed on his leg late in the fourth quarter. He has been put on the inured reserve list and will miss the remainder of the season.

Fibula - IR. Out for the season

The Rams signed LB K.C. Asiodu, TE Eric Butler, DE Ian Campbell, LB Dominic Douglas, CB Cord Parks and WR Sean Walker to the practice squad on Sunday.

With RBs Steven Jackson and Cadillac Williams questionable for Sunday against the Ravens, Jerious Norwood and Quinn Porter have been getting the bulk of the reps in practice this week. Coach Steve Spagnuolo said both are ready to carry the workload on Sunday, if need be. Norwood, a six-year veteran, hasn’t been a feature back since college.

Notable cuts made by the Rams Saturday include: LB Zac Diles, TE Fendi Onobun, RB Keith Toston, S Jonathan Nelson and RB Chase Reynolds.

The Rams placed CB Marquis Johnson on injured reserve Tuesday with a abdominal injury. Johnson sustained the injury in last week's loss to the Seahawks.

Rams DL Chris Long was listed as active for Week 17 against San Francisco. He had been on the injury report with an ankle injury.

The Rams hired Brian Schottenheimer to be their offensive coordinator, reports the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. That means QB Sam Bradford will work in his third offense in as many seasons. Schottenheimer's playbook is a variation of his father, Marty's, which was born under the principles of Don Coryell's pass-attack scheme that involved lots of shifts, formations and deep plays. In 2011, the Chargers and Ravens ran similar offenses.

The Rams made more roster moves before Monday morning’s practice. They signed former 49ers OL Tony Wragge and former Cardinals TE Stephen Spach. Released were OL Hank Fraley and undrafted rookie TE Ben Guidugli .

The Rams reached a decision on the final 53 players on the roster by Saturday's deadline, so several hopefuls were let go. Among the cuts were DL George Selvie, DB Tim Atchison, TE Demarco Cosby, DB Tae Evans, DT Marlon Favorite, WR Mardy Gilyard, DT John Henderson, QB Thaddeus Lewis, WR Greg Mathews and DT Daniel Muir.

Rams WR Mark Clayton, placed on IR on Nov. 24 because of ailing knees, had microfracture surgery on Tuesday to “knock some cartilage off the bone,” he said on Twitter. The knee surgery was performed by renowned sports surgeon, Dr. James Andrews, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Knee - IR. Out for the season

Active for the first time since Week 3 against Baltimore, Rams RB Jerious Norwood got into the action Week 12 against Arizona. Norwood backed up starting RB Steven Jackson in the performance as he saw some scattered carries throughout the game. Norwood rushed five times for 22 yards. He was targeted once in the passing game but did not make a catch.

Rams DL Darell Scott (ankle) is likely to be doubtful for Sunday's game against the Redskins. "There's the next test to see how much it's open," coach Steve Spagnuolo said of Scott's high ankle sprain. "It'll give us a better indication of how long it's going to be."

Rams DB James Butler was inactive for the second straight game in Week 11 against the Falcons. He has been dealing with a knee injury and there is no timetable for his return.

To make room for WR Mark Clayton, the Rams placed CB Jerome Murphy (broken ankle) on IR on Thursday. They also signed DT Marlon Favorite, a former LSU standout who has previously been with the Patriots and Eagles this year.

Ankle - IR. Out for the season

Rams WR Brandon Gibson did not see many passes thrown his way in Week 14 against the Seahawks. He was targeted just once by QB Sam Bradford, making the grab for 6 yards in the 30-13 loss.

Al Harris announced his retirement on Wednesday. He played in nine games for the Rams this season before being placed on season-ending IR due to a torn ACL.

Achilles - IR. Out for the season

St. Louis TE Billy Bajema caught both passes thrown his way in Week 7 against Dallas. He finished with 20 yards, the longest reception going for 12 yards. The Rams would lose the game, 34-7.

The Rams have officially placed WR Greg Salas (broken fibula) on IR and signed LB David Nixon, who was with the Rams last year and began training camp with the team this season.

St. Louis DL James Hall is inactive for Week 15 against Cincinnati because of a chest injury. Hall was listed as questionable on the team's injury report after not practicing last week.

Rams DL Fred Robbins notched his sixth sack of the season in Week 16 against the 49ers. Robbins finished with three tackles in the 25-17 win and also was credited with a pass defended and fumble recovery in the contest.

Rams DB Josh Gordy recorded his third interception of the year in Week 16 against the Steelers. He picked off QB Charlie Batch in the second quarter and finished with three tackles in the 27-0 loss.

Rams DT Gary Gibson picked up a sack on Monday Night Football Week 14. Gibson took down Seattle's Tarvaris Jackson, despite the Seahawks taking down the Rams 30-13 in the game. Gibson finished with four tackles and two of them were solo.

Rams DB Bradley Fletcher (knee) was placed on injured reserve Monday.

Knee - IR. Out for the season

St. Louis coach Steve Spagnuolo said TE Michael Hoomanawanui will miss the remainder of the season after being placed on injured reserve with a torn ACL. Hoomanawanui suffered the injury during the third quarter of the Rams' win over Cleveland in Week 10.

Achilles - IR. Out for the season

St. Louis placed DB Brian Jackson on injured reserve Saturday while activating DB Marquis Johnson from the PUP list. Jackson signed with the Rams earlier this month after the team placed DB Bradley Fletcher (knee) on IR.

Undisclosed - IR. Out for the season

St. Louis DL Robert Quinn made another sack in Week 11 versus Seattle. He finished the game with five solo tackles.

Rams WR Dominique Curry injured his shoulder during the Week 12 loss to the Cardinals. Curry did not make a catch in the game and was used only on special teams. The injury is not considered serious.

For the first time this season, Rams QB Tom Brandstater got into a game, as he took snaps during the team's final possession during a Week 17 loss to the 49ers. Starter Kellen Clemens, filling in for the injured Sam Bradford (ankle), left the contest with an ankle injury, and Brandstater finished out the drive. He did not complete either of his two pass attempts.

The Sports Xchange reports Wednesday that Rams new Defensive tackle Justin Bannan is glad to be with a team that plays the 4-3 defense. "It's good getting back into the 4-3 mode and doing a little bit more attacking," Bannan said. "It feels good to just come off the ball and play football. Last year I was in a 3-4 (with Denver), I was real far off the ball. It's a good change up to just come back here and turn it loose."

Rams DB Justin King is having shoulder surgery. His season is officially over with one game left to play.

The NFL suspended Rams WR Austin Pettis four games on Wednesday for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances.

Suspension - 4-game suspension. Eligible to return Week 3 of 2012 season

Rams TE Lance Kendricks caught most of the passes thrown his way in Week 16 against the Steelers. He was targeted three times by QB Kellen Clemens, catching two passes for 13 yards in the 27-0 loss. Kendricks has six grabs for 58 yards over the last three games.

St. Louis signed TE Mike McNeill off Indianapolis’ practice squad on Tuesday to take the roster spot of LB Josh Hull, who was placed on injured reserve with an ankle injury.

Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo told reporters at Tuesday's press conference that DL C.J. Ah You (wrist) will not return to practice this week. He could get his cast removed, but is not expected to play in Week 3.

LB James Laurinitis was in his customary position atop the tackles standings for the Rams in a Week 17 loss to the 49ers. He led the team with nine tackles, finishing the season with 142.

For the first time this season, RB Cadillac Williams reached the end zone, but the Rams lost to the 49ers in Week 17. Williams gained just 17 yards on seven carries, but he scored on a 1-yard run with fewer than five minutes left in the game. Williams' score brought the Rams within seven points of the lead, but they failed to score again in the game's final minutes.

The Rams released TE Ben Guidugli from the practice squad on Tuesday.

To get down to the league-mandated 53-man roster, the Ravens parted ways with the following players: DT Nader Abdallah, FB Jason Cook, TE Davon Drew, LB Tony Fein, WR Yamon Figurs, WR Jayson Foster, K Graham Gano, S K.J. Gerard, WR Justin Harper, CB Evan Oglesby, RB Cedric Peerman, OT Joe Reitz, WR Eron Riley, TE Isaac Smolko, LB William VanDeSteeg and WR Ernie Wheelwright. DT Will Johnson reached an injury settlement with the team and also was jettisoned.

Rams LB Chris Chamberlain led St. Louis with seven total tackles and six solo on Sunday of Week 12 in a loss to Arizona. Chamberlain left the game with a hamstring injury that was not considered serious.

The Jacksonville Jaguars waived linebacker Adam Seward and signed two players to their practice squad who had been with the team previously. Linebacker Lamar Myles and defensive end James Wyche were signed to the practice squad today.

St. Louis LB Josh Hull was placed on injured reserve Tuesday after suffering a serious ankle injury in Week 15 against Cincinnati. Hull left the locker room Sunday in a walking boot.

Ankle - IR. Out for the season

The Rams re-signed WR/KR Nick Miller on Thursday.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that Rams RB Steven Jackson is excited for new coach Jeff Fisher because, as the story says, "Fisher likes to ground and pound" and "Jackson is a grounding, pounding running back." That should help Jackson heading into 2012. "I think he's the perfect coach for a guy who wants to win," Jackson said. "He brings running and an attitude to the way you play the game, all the things I believe in. And what makes this hire so exciting is that coach Fisher has been a head coach in this league. Not to take anything away from (former Rams coaches Steve) Spagnuolo or (Scott) Linehan, who were very good at what they did. They were very good play callers on offense and defense. But being a head coach brings on another element to the game and coach Fisher has that experience."

Rams DB Ron Bartell, who suffered a fractured bone in his lower neck, confirmed to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that he is out for the season. "My goal is to play again," Bartell said. "I'm fully prepared to play again. I'm approaching it as such that I will play again. There's absolutely no way I could come back and play this year. It takes time just for the bone to heal." Justin King is now expected to move into the starting lineup to replace Bartell.

Neck - IR. Out for the season

The Rams have been awarded LB Bryan Kehl off waivers.

Rams DB Roderick Hood came up with an interception of Arizona QB John Skelton on Sunday of Week 12. Hood did not make a tackle in the performance.

St. Louis LB Brady Poppinga suffered a left calf strain in Week 7 against Dallas.

St. Louis DB Quintin Mikell registered a team-high 10 tackles, including eight solo stops, during the Rams' 20-13 loss to Cincinnati in Week 15. Mikell also tallied a pass defended for the second time over the past three games for St. Louis.

Rams WR Danny Amendola (elbow, tripces) was placed on season-ending injured reserve on Monday.

Elbow, triceps - IR. Out for the season

The Redskins cut down to the league-mandated 53 layers on Saturday. Among the released hopefuls were WR Isaac Anderson, LB Horatio Blades, NT Anthony Bryant, QB Kellen Clemens, TE Tony Curtis, RB Shaun Draughn, LB Thaddeus Gibson, QB Matt Gutierrez, S Chris Horton, LB Edgar Jones, CB Reggie Jones, WR Aldrick Robinson, S Anderson Russell, TE Derek Schouman, S Davonte Shannon, DE Jeff Stehle and DE Doug Worthington.

As expected, the Rams have officially placed DT Jermelle Cudjo (back) on IR. Cudjo, an undrafted rookie in 2010 who played in 10 games last year, has had been unable to shake a nagging injury this summer and had not practiced in nearly three weeks.

Back - IR. Out for the season

Rams QB Kellen Clemens left Week 17's game against the 49ers with less than three minutes left in the game, as he injured his right ankle. After the game, Clemens told reporters that X-rays on his ankle were negative. Filling in for Sam Bradford (ankle), Clemens completed 14 of 31 passes for 226 yards with an interception, and he also tossed a 36-yard touchdown pass to Brandon Lloyd. Clemens also ran the ball twice for 18 yards, and he scored on a first-quarter rushing touchdown.

Ankle - Left Week 17 vs. San Francisco

For the fourth straight week, Rams backup QB A.J. Feeley (thumb) was among his team's inactives. Therefore, he will not replace the injured Sam Bradford (ankle) in Week 17 against the 49ers, so the start will go to Kellen Clemens.

Right thumb - Missed Week 17 vs. San Francisco

The Saints made a flurry of moves Tuesday to get down to an 80-player roster. They waived/injured LB Erza Butler and RB Chris Taylor. They released DL Alex Brown, while also waiving WR John Chiles, FB Kolby Hurt and DB Mark Parson.
