Rodger Saffold
News
Rams guard Rodger Saffold had surgery Wednesday to repair a torn labrum in his right shoulder, Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

The surgery comes with a five-month recovery timetable. It appears as if this shoulder injury was much more significant than the one he played through in 2014. Saffold should be ready for 2016 training camp.

Injury
E.J. Gaines
News
The Rams reached the NFL's 75-man roster limit Tuesday with the release of 13 players, per ESPN.com, who include: OT Steven Baker, OT Travis Bond, CB Imoan Claiborne, S Jay Hughes, LB Keshaun Malone, LS Tyler Ott, K/P Michael Palardy, WR Tyler Slavin, TE Brad Smelley (waived/injured), LB Korey Toomer (waived/injured), C David Wang, WR Damian Williams (contract terminated) and DT Doug Worthington.

CB E.J. Gaines (foot) was placed on injured reserve. The Rams had previously waived/injured receiver Isiah Ferguson but he reverted to injured reserve with a torn ACL.

Foot - IR. Out for season
Tavon Austin
News
Austin rushed six times for 32 yards and added 30 yards receiving on five catches in a 19-16 overtime loss to the 49ers on Sunday.

The Rams made a much more concerted effort to get Austin the ball this season, and it helped get them some wins. Austin finishes the season with 52 catches for 473 yards and five touchdowns to go with 52 rushes for 434 yards and four touchdowns on the ground. All in all, it was a pretty good season for Austin despite the fact that St Louis had terrible quarterback play much of the year. He's not as valuable in PPR leagues, but his versatility does give him an uptick in value heading into 2016.

Benny Cunningham
News
Cunningham ran the ball four times for 38 yards and caught all three of his targets for 34 yards in Sunday's 19-16 overtime loss at San Francisco.

With rookie sensation Todd Gurley (foot) inactive Sunday, Cunningham posted his most productive game since Week 1. Meanwhile, second-year RB Tre Mason saw most of the work in Gurley's absence, carrying the ball 18 times for 44 yards and a touchdown. Cunningham is a valuable member of St. Louis's offense, but not for fantasy purposes, especially with the emergence of Gurley.

Brian Folkerts
News
The Panthers announced they re-signed running back Fozzy Whittaker, linebacker Ben Jacobs and offensive lineman Brian Folkerts. All were exclusive rights free agents.

In 10 games last season, Whittaker ran 32 times for 145 yards (4.5 ypc) and a touchdown and caught five passes for 60 yards and another score.

Jake McQuaide
News
Several Rams who were on the injury report are active for Sunday's game at San Diego. The list includes tight end Cory Harkey (quadriceps), linebacker Daren Bates (groin), linebacker Will Herring (foot), linebacker James Laurinaitis (foot) and linebacker Jake McQuaide (back).
Johnny Hekker
News
The NFL unveiled the Pro Bowl rosters for 2014Friday, and they come with a twist; for the first time, selections were made without regard for conference. The teams will be chosen via televised draft Jan. 22.

The special teams selections are as follows:

Punter: Brandon Fields, Dolphins; Johnny Hekker, Rams.

Placekicker: Matt Prater, Broncos; Justin Tucker, Ravens.

Punt returner: Antonio Brown, Steelers; Dexter McCluster, Chiefs.

Special teamer: Justin Bethel, Cardinals; Matthew Slater, Patriots.

Chase Reynolds
News
Rams cornerback Trumaine Johnson suffered a concussion during Sunday's game and will go through the league's concussion protocol this week, reports ESPN.

Meanwhile, Chase Reynolds sustained a knee injury and will need more examinations before the severity is determined.

Cory Harkey
News
The Rams have reportedly signed safety Rodney McLeod and tight end Cory Harkey to their restricted free agent tenders, according to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Caplan.

Harkey had eight catches for 55 yards and a touchdown last season while McLeod totaled 72 tackles with two interceptions in 16 games.

Chris Long
News
Long (knee) is active for Sunday's game at Baltimore.

Long will be playing for the first time since Week 5, and the Rams are surely happy to have him back with Robert Quinn out for this game.

Sean Mannion
News
Mannion was 6-of-7 for 31 yards in relief of Nick Foles on Sunday as the Rams fell 31-7 to Cincinnati.

This was Mannion's first look of the season, and he performed decently in his sparse game time. Nick Foles has been awful the last two weeks, and if Case Keenum is still hurt, the Rams may give Mannion a shot at the starting spot. That being said, the Rams' offense is putrid and no matter who's under center, they're not going to produce much fantasy-wise.

Daren Bates
News
Rams linebacker Daren Bates suffered an apparent knee injury in Friday's preseason game.

"Daren is sore," coach Jeff Fisher said after the game, per ESPN

Bates was on crutches after the game and will have an MRI on Saturday.

Stedman Bailey
News
Bailey (head) was reinstated from the suspended list Monday, Howard Balzer of reports.

Bailey is likely out for the season after he was shot in the head In Miami on Nov. 24, but the Rams have been granted a roster exemption while they determine the next course of action. More than likely, he'll land on the reserve/NFI list, which would officially ensure that he doesn't play again in 2015.

Janoris Jenkins
News
Jenkins (concussion) is active for Thursday's game against the Buccaneers, Myles Simmons of the Rams' official website reports.

With Jenkins and Trumaine Johnson both healthy for the first time since Week 11, Bucs wideout Mike Evans draws a tough individual matchup. One of the league's better corners this season, Jenkins has 52 tackles, three interceptions, 14 passes defensed and a forced fumble in 12 appearances.

Kenny Britt
News
Britt caught three passes for 81 yards in a 19-16 overtime loss to San Francisco on Sunday.

Britt seemed to find some chemistry with Case Keenum near the end of the year, averaging more than 20 yards a catch over his last five games with a pair of touchdowns. It's doubtful Keenum will be the quarterback to begin 2016, so some of Britt's value will hinge on that decision in St. Louis, although he did a decent job with what he had this season.

Trumaine Johnson
News
Johnson picked off a pass and added nine tackles to a 31-23 victory against Tampa Bay on Thursday.

Johnson has quietly piled up some solid numbers on the year, with 57 tackles and a team-hgih six interceptions, including one for a touchdown. He has held down a Rams' back end that's been hurt by injuries, and has rewarded St. Louis' faith in him.

Nick Foles
News
Foles completed just 15 of 35 passes for 146 yards and an interception in Sunday's loss to the Cardinals.

The nightmare season continued for the 26-year-old, who failed to throw a touchdown pass for the fourth consecutive start and posted what was surprisingly only his second-worst yardage total of the year. Case Keenum was able to serve as the Rams' backup after receiving clearance under the league's concussion protocol prior to the game, and Foles' putrid performance will likely land him back in a reserve role in next week's game against the Lions.

Jared Cook
News
Cook was targeted twice, recording a five-yard reception in Sunday's win over Seattle.

Sunday was the second time in two weeks that Cook has been limited to a single catch and third time in four weeks he has been held under 25 yards receiving. The Rams close the season against a weak 49ers pass defense, but it would be a shock if the team opts to air in out. In Case Keenum's last three starts, the Rams have run the ball 58.6 percent of the time.

Aaron Donald
News
Donald picked up 10 tackles, a sack, and two tackles for loss in a 16-13 loss to the Ravens on Sunday.

After a little bit of a midseason lull, Donald is back to his stellar self, with 17 tackles and 2.5 sacks his last two weeks. He continues to be a beast in the middle of the Rams' line and is already one of the top defensive tackles in the league.

Isaiah Battle
News
The Rams selected lineman Isaiah Battle in the fifth round of the Supplemental Draft in July, but he was among the team's cuts Saturday, per NFL.com.

The Rams had previously stated they were going to bring Battle along slowly, but reversed course. St. Louis will lose its fifth-round pick in next year's draft.

Eric Patterson
News
The Patriots have announced the release of rookie cornerback Eric Patterson one day after signing veteran Derek Cox.

Patterson was signed May 8 as an undrafted free agent. He had been participating in OTAs.

Injury
Doug Worthington
News
The Rams reached the NFL's 75-man roster limit Tuesday with the release of 13 players, per ESPN.com, who include: OT Steven Baker, OT Travis Bond, CB Imoan Claiborne, S Jay Hughes, LB Keshaun Malone, LS Tyler Ott, K/P Michael Palardy, WR Tyler Slavin, TE Brad Smelley (waived/injured), LB Korey Toomer (waived/injured), C David Wang, WR Damian Williams (contract terminated) and DT Doug Worthington.

CB E.J. Gaines (foot) was placed on injured reserve. The Rams had previously waived/injured receiver Isiah Ferguson but he reverted to injured reserve with a torn ACL.

Injury
Maurice Alexander
News
The Rams have listed S Maurice Alexander, RB Trey Watts, CB Marcus Roberson, LB Daren Bates, OL Brandon Washington, TE Alex Bayer and DL Ethan Westbrooks as inactive Week 10 against the Cardinals.

Bates came into the ruled doubtful due to a groin injury. Roberson was considered questionable with an ankle injury. The other five players listed are healthy scratches.

Jamon Brown
Injury
Eric Kush
News
The Buccaneers announced the signing of former Falcons offensive lineman Joe Hawley . Hawley played in 57 games (23 starts) in five seasons with Atlanta.

To make room for him on the 53-man roster, the Bucs released center Eric Kush. Kush was a gameday inactive for the team's Week 1 loss against the Titans on Sunday.

Justice Cunningham
News
The Rams have listed CB E.J. Gaines, TE Justice Cunningham, OL Barrett Jones, OL Brandon Washington, TE Alex Bayer, DT Alex Carrington and DL Ethan Westbrooks as inactive against the Seahawks.

Gaines was the only player listed on the injury report. He was considered doubtful due to a concussion. The other six players listed are healthy scratches.

T.J. McDonald
News
McDonald will undergo season-ending shoulder surgery, KMOV 4 St. Louis reports.

McDonald injured his shoulder in the second half of Sunday's defeat to the Cardinals. Thus, he'll end his third campaign with 63 tackles (39 solo), one sack, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 11 games.

Injury
Shoulder - IR. Out for season
Alec Ogletree
News
Ogletree (leg) returned to practice Thursday, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.

Prior to suffering a fractured fibula in Week 4, Ogletree was a force in the tackle department, notching two sacks among 42 tackles in less than a quarter of the season. In the meantime, he's focused on rehabilitation, but an appearance at practice has opened the window to activation from the IR/designated-to-return list, which must occur in order to play in Sunday's season finale at San Francisco.

Injury
Ankle - IR. Designated for return
Eugene Sims
News
The Rams unveiled a lengthy injury report which included 14 players on the list for Sunday's game against the Raiders.

Rookie cornerback Marcus Roberson (ankle) was unable to practice all week and was the only player on the report ruled as doubtful. Defensive end Eugene Sims missed practice all week due to a death in the family, but is expected to play, per the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. He was deemed as probable. Defensive back Lamarcus Joyner (groin) and defensive tackle Alex Carrington (thigh) are questionable.

Meanwhile, the following players were designated as probable: Center Scott Wells (rest), defensive end Robert Quinn (rest) and guard Davin Joseph (rest), linebacker James Laurinaitis (ankle), wide receiver Kenny Britt (back), cornerback E.J. Gaines (knee), tight end Cory Harkey (thigh), tight end Jared Cook (back), linebacker Will Herring (foot) and linebacker Alec Ogletree

Nick Fairley
News
New Rams defensive tackle Nick Fairley has a $500,000 workout bonus in his one-year contract, "a monster amount" believed to be the largest offseason workout bonus offered to a Rams player since the team moved to St. Louis in 1995, reports the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Fairley, 27, had weight issues during his four-year stint with the Lions and at one point weighed a reported 320 pounds. Meeting with reporters in St. Louis, Fairley said he weighed 280 and planned to add muscle this offseason.

Fairley added he was looking for a new personal chef, per the paper. Look for Fairley to be there when the Rams' offseason conditioning program begins April 20.

Injury
David Arkin
News
The Colts waived running back Dion Lewis and signed defensive tackle Kelcy Quarles off the Patriots' practice squad. Indianapolis also signed guard David Arkin to its practice squad while releasing guard Josh Walker from the squad.
Darrell Williams
Injury
Trey Watts
News
Watts was signed by the Rams on Friday, ESPN's Nick Wagoner reports.

Watts was promoted from the practice squad, suggesting that Tre Mason (ankle) is unlikely to play. Even if he's active, Watts won't necessarily get any touches.

Melvin White
News
The Panthers reached the NFL's 75-man limit Tuesday thanks to a series of moves, including placing star wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin on the season-ending injured reserve list with a knee injury, per a team release.

Carolina waived WR Jarrett Boykin, DT Kenny Horsley, S Robert Lester and WR De'Andre Presley, placed OT Davonte Wallace and CB Melvin White on the waived/injured list and reached an injury settlement with DT Micanor Regis.

Ethan Westbrooks

Wes Welker
News
Welker finished an abbreviated campaign for St. Louis with 13 catches for 102 yards.

Welker's career was considered to possibly be over before St. Louis signed him in November. While he wasn't bad, he didn't seem to have the spark he once had as a PPR monster. If he wants to keep playing, he's likely to find a home somewhere next season, but his days of fantasy relevance are nearing their conclusion.

Marcus Roberson
News
The Rams designated the following players as inactive for Sunday's game against the Giants: offensive lineman Brandon Washington, tight end Alex Bayer, defensive lineman Ethan Westbrooks, defensive lineman Alex Carrington, cornerback Marcus Roberson, tight end Justice Cunningham and offensive lineman Barrett Jones.
Brian Quick
News
Quick finished off his 2015 campaign with two catches for 23 yards in a 19-16 overtime loss to San Francisco on Sunday.

It was a very strange season for Quick, who was proclaimed healthy to start the year but didn't play until October. He never seemed himself, however, as he caught only 10 of his 32 targets for 102 yards, and one-third of those yards came on a single catch against the Bears on Nov. 15. Perhaps an offseason of rest could help Quick return to his 2014 form, but considering his shoulder injury was called career-threatening at one point, he may not be the same player again.

Tre Mason
News
Mason had 18 carries for 44 yards, but scored a short touchdown in Sunday's 19-16 overtime loss at San Francisco.

With rookie sensation Todd Gurley (foot) inactive, Mason got a ton of work, but was unable to fully capitalize. His four-yard touchdown run in the second quarter was his first score of the season, and nearly didn't happen, as the play was designed for him to throw the ball into the end zone on a trick play. After a promising rookie season in 2014, Mason was on the bench for most of this year, as Gurley established himself as a potential star. Thus, look for Mason to head back to a reserve role in 2016, barring some sort of injury to Gurley.

Robert Quinn
News
Quinn (back) was placed on injured reserve Thursday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

After last week's announcement that Quinn would undergo season-ending back surgery, landing on IR was inevitable. The pass rusher concludes his fifth season with 21 tackles (13 solo), including five sacks, and three forced fumbles across eight games.

Injury
Back - IR. Out for season
Greg Zuerlein
News
Zuerlein struggled for much of this season, finishing 20-of-30 on field goals and 26-of-28 for extra points.

After a stellar 2013 season, Zuerlein has seen his field goal percentage dip from 92.9 to 66.7. More disconcerting is the struggles from deep, as the normally sure-legged kicker hit only three of his nine attempts from 50-plus yards this season. He's coming into a contract year, so he's going to have to improve those numbers if he wants to be a prized free agent or to get a solid contract from St. Louis.

Tim Barnes
News
As the Rams start the final week of OTAs, three players are still battling in a wide-open race to be starting center.

Tim Barnes, Barrett Jones and Demetrius Rhaney are vying for the job, and the competition will liekly last far into training camp.

"We’re not going to make a decision real early,” coach Jeff Fisher said, per StLToday.com. “We’ll let them all play. We’re rotating them. They’re all getting opportunities to work with (QBNick Foles), so he’s familiar, not only with the exchanges, but also the communication. We’ll make that decision when somebody shows us he’s earned the job."

News
The Rams reached the NFL's 75-man roster limit Tuesday with the release of 13 players, per ESPN.com, who include: OT Steven Baker, OT Travis Bond, CB Imoan Claiborne, S Jay Hughes, LB Keshaun Malone, LS Tyler Ott, K/P Michael Palardy, WR Tyler Slavin, TE Brad Smelley (waived/injured), LB Korey Toomer (waived/injured), C David Wang, WR Damian Williams (contract terminated) and DT Doug Worthington.

CB E.J. Gaines (foot) was placed on injured reserve. The Rams had previously waived/injured receiver Isiah Ferguson but he reverted to injured reserve with a torn ACL.

Injury
Knee - IR. Out for season
Mark Barron
News
Barron (concussion) is active Sunday against the 49ers, Nick Wagoner of ESPN reports.

After putting in a full practice on Friday, Barron will be in the lineup at safety. On the season, he's recorded 105 tackles to go with a sack.

Lance Kendricks
News
Kendricks set career lows in receiving this season, finishing with 25 catches for 245 yards.

His two touchdowns was also his least since his rookie campaign in 2011. His numbers have certainly taken a hit since Jared Cook has come to town, and the quarterback carousel hasn't helped either. As the second tight end on a terrible offense, Kendricks doesn't hold much value going forward.

Case Keenum
News
Head coach Jeff Fisher confirmed Monday that Keenum enters the offseason as the Rams' starting quarterback, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.

As a restricted free agent, Keenum is the only quarterback on the roster that will be subject to free agency in the coming months, with both Nick Foles and Sean Mannion signed through the end of the 2016 season, at the very least. Considering the preceding, Keenum will almost certainly return to the Rams, though a veteran addition or player selected in the NFL Draft could place his current status in question. In six outings in the recently-completed campaign, he was risk averse but far from explosive, completing 61 percent (76 of 125) of his passes for 828 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception.

James Laurinaitis
News
Rams linebacker James Laurinaitis hyperextended his elbow Sunday against the Browns and is expected to have an MRI on Monday, per Rand Getlin of the NFL Network.

Laurinaitis managed to play through discomfort and finished with eight tackle. While that production suggests his elbow didn't impede him much, the results of the MRI should help sort out his future availability.

Michael Brockers
News
Four teams have contacted the Rams about a potential trade for defensive tackle Michael Brockers, according to a report by DraftInsider

The Rams picked up the fifth-year option on Brockers' rookie contract earlier in the week, but it appears that they're fielding offers for him.

The Cowboys, Texans and Cardinals have been calling the Rams, trying to work out a trade, and the Dolphins are also trying to get involved.

AZCentral's Kent Somers cited a source refuting the report that the Cardinals had inquired about Brockers.

Reports earlier in the week also had the Lions and Bears liked with a potential Brockers trade.

Malcolm Brown
News
The Rams promoted Brown from the practice squad to the 53-man roster Thursday, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.

Todd Gurley has logged no practice time this week due to an injured foot and appears in danger of missing the season finale. If he's unable to go, Brown will merely serve as depth behind fellow backs Tre Mason, Benny Cunningham, and Chase Reynolds.

Akeem Ayers
News
Linebacker Akeem Ayers has signed with the Rams on Thursday, according to the team.

Ayers spent last season with the Patriots recording 20 total tackles, four sacks and one interception. The 25-year-old spent four seasons with the Titans prior to playing for the Patriots.

For his career Ayers has 252 total tackles, 13 sacks and three forced fumbles.

Lamarcus Joyner
News
Rams cornerback Lamarcus Joyner registered seven tackles and a fumble recovery in Sunday's 24-10 loss to the Packers.

Joyner is having a decent year as the nickel back, with 29 tackles, two sacks and a fumble recovery. While those aren't huge IDP numbers, he's only in his second year and could be up for a starting position in the future.

Garrett Reynolds
News
Free agent offensive lineman Garrett Reynolds is expected to sign with the Rams, reports ESPN's Adam Caplan. Reynolds has played in 52 games over six seasons with the Falcons and Lions, starting 27 times.

Nick Toon
News
The Cowboys won't find another Dez Bryant out there, but they are at least trying to land the best temporary replacement for their injured star receiver.

Among those working out on Tuesday is former Giants standout Hakeem Nicks. Austin Pettis, Nick Toon and Clyde Gates are also getting a look, per the Dallas Morning News.

Bryant went down in Week 1 with a fractured right foot that was surgically repaired Monday. He is expected to remain out for at least six weeks.

The 27-year-old Nicks is perhaps the most intriguing of the four. He was among the last cuts by Tennessee this year, but he is just two years removed from an 896-yard season with the Giants.

Greg Robinson
News
Jeff Fisher updated the injury status of two Rams offensive linemen during his press conference at the Indianapolis scouting combine, Friday.

Fisher announced that left tackle Greg Robinson had toe surgery after the regular season ended. The rookie played in all 16 games for the Rams last season, starting 12.

Tackle Jake Long is also bouncing back from surgery. Long tore his ACL seven games into the season. Fisher said that Long's rehab is "coming along" With Robinson's success at left tackle, the team is trying to decide where else on the line Long could fit in.

Rodney McLeod
News
McLeod recovered a fumble and ran it back for a touchdown in Sunday's 24-6 victory against Cleveland.

McLeod is having a fairly solid year, with 29 tackles, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery in addition to his touchdown. He's about on pace to match last season's 72 tackles, which seems about right for the fourth-year safety.

Todd Gurley
News
Gurley was named Offensive Rookie of the Year at Saturday's NFL Awards Ceremony, Connor Orr of NFL.com reports.

Less than one year removed from a torn ACL in his final season at Georgia, Gurley found traction in his second career game on Oct. 4 against Arizona and was one of the best backs in the league from there. Starting with his 146-yard showing against the Cardinals, Gurley reached the 100-yard mark in four consecutive games. He finished the year third in the NFL in rushing yards with 1,106 behind only Adrian Peterson and Doug Martin. Gurley beat out Tampa Bay's Jameis Winston and Oakland's Amari Cooper to take home the Offensive Rookie of the Year award.

William Hayes
News
Hayes notched nine tackles (seven solo) and three sacks in Sunday's win over the Seahawks.

The Rams went into Seattle and beat up on the Seahawks on Sunday, and Hayes played a huge role in the victory. The veteran defensive end entered with just 2.5 sacks on the year, but he recorded three more in a 23-17 win. Hayes is a low-end option as an IDP, even in the deepest of leagues, but he's worth keeping an eye on heading into next season.
