Former Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Jay Ratliff has no visits planned yet, according to a league source, but teams are inquiring about him.

Ratliff's agent, Mark Slough, announced recently that the former Pro Bowl defensive tackle would not be able to play football in 2013 following his release by the Cowboys. However, that status has changed following visits with a specialist and Ratliff was informed he could be cleared to play in a few weeks.

Several teams are monitoring the situation closely and it's possible Ratliff could help a team for the stretch run. Ratliff's play declined in recent years and he battled off-field woes.

Ratliff also received $18 million from Dallas not all that long ago and was a regular Pro Bowler as a 3-4 nose tackle prior to the Cowboys switching schemes.
