Saints' running attack could be X factor vs. 49ers Sunday

Since Joe Vitt showed up on the sidelines as the interim head coach, the running game showed up as well.

In the last three weeks the Saints are racking up more than 100 yards on the ground. And their opponent, San Francisco, has struggled against teams that rush for 100-plus yards. In fact they are 1-2-1 in those games. Get ready for more run than you might expect from New Orleans.

That being said, Brees has 15 touchdown passes at home this year, and an even more impressive 47 touchdown passes in his last 13 home games (11-2 record). The Saint defense may be ranked last the season, but in this 5-1 run the last six games, they have 18 sacks and eight turnovers. The Niners are no lock to win this game with a young quarterback in his second start.
