2013 NFL Draft: Almost overnight, market has changed for OTs

A week ago Brandon Albert's only challenge for a new deal with a new club came from free agent Bryant McKinnie.

McKinnie should have taken whatever he could have before the draft. Albert should now realize his franchise tag of $9.8 million is an inflated number for what the market will hold for him because there are two more solid left tackles that could potentially be in trade talks.

The Chiefs have to realize pick No. 42, which they wanted from the Dolphins, is gone and the Dolphins don't have to sweeten the pot to get Albert, who has back issues.

I would inquire what the Jaguars want to do first. Eugene Monroe was a solid left tackle for Jacksonville, but the Jags just drafted the Tony Boselli lookalike, Luke Joeckel. Monroe has one year left on his deal at $3.8 million and they could trade for him and worry about a new contract later.

The Eagles grabbed Lane Johnson and that has to put Jason Peters in play. On the right side Andre Smith needs to be back in Cincinnati now or he may hear the Bengals select Menelik Watson and move on. Eric Winston and Tyson Clabo are both sitting on the sidelines waiting for a call and their price is coming down. Smith is going to get a lesson in economics.
