I've made the climb to get to even with my best picks.
Now it's time to get rolling.
After a slow start, I am 3-1-2 the past two weeks, including 2-0-1 last week. The push came thanks to Matt Schaub's bonehead play. I actually picked the Texans to beat the Seahawks, and thought it was good until late in the game, but the Texans blew it.
I hit on Denver minus the 10½ against the Eagles and Detroit minus 3½ against the Bears.
So this week, I am looking for my first sweep with my top three picks.
Rams (-11) vs. Jaguars: How will the Jaguars score? The Rams' defensive front will get after Blaine Gabbert and cause a turnover or three. The Rams aren't great on offense, but they will do enough here to cover that number. The Jaguars are really bad.
Giants (minus 2½) vs. Eagles: The Giants are bad on offense. The Eagles are bad on defense. Something has to give here. I say Eli Manning and his offense get it going. The Giants are winless, but this is only their second home game. They are minus-9 in turnover ratio. That changes. They get it right and take it out on their rivals.
Colts (plus 2½) vs. Seahawks: Seattle is playing consecutive road games outside the division. That's tough. They rallied to beat the Texans last week, and this is another tough challenge. I think Andrew Luck will make some big throws to beat Russell Wilson and the Seahawks.
