I feel like the Jacksonville Jaguars of picking games these days.
I am a bottom-feeder.
It changes right now. I went 1-2 with my best bets last week, the first losing week in a month. I don't like that. But I was 3-11 overall against the spread, which is even worse.
I hate that.
So let's turn it around, starting this week. Here are my three top picks:
Texans (+6½) at Chiefs: I know this will be Case Keenum's first start, but the Texans will run the ball at the Chiefs, who are 31st in yards-per-carry against. Arian Foster will help keep this close. Keenum plays with spunk too. I like this to be tight.
Rams (+6½) at Panthers: The Panthers played better on the offensive line last week against Minnesota, but this is a heck of a Rams defensive front. That will help keep Cam Newton in check. The Rams are playing consecutive road games, which is tough. But this is a big spread for the Panthers to be laying.
Titans (+4½) vs. 49ers: The Titans are a tough, physical team that will match up with the 49ers on both lines. I think they can run the ball against the 49ers' run defense, which hasn't been great. The 49ers will win, but it will be tight.
