Coming off a 2-1 week, thanks to two big favorites winning easily, it's time to get on a roll here with my top picks.
Sticking with the trend from last week, I have two big favorites and one dog. The dog -- Atlanta -- lost last week. But this week I feel a 3-0 record coming. The two big favorites I like are the Cowboys and the Packers.
Here comes an undefeated week, which would be a first.
Cowboys (-10½) vs. Vikings: The Cowboys are home after two weeks on the road and get a Minnesota team that isn't very good. The Vikings are 30th in defense and 29th in passing defense. That will give a lot of chances for Tony Romo, Dez Bryant and the gang to put up big numbers. The Cowboys will roll here.
Packers (-11½) vs. Bears: The Bears are limping into Lambeau Field for this one, while the Packers are rolling. Green Bay is second in total offense, while the Bears are 27th in total defense. Mismatch. And then there's the Josh McCown factor. He starts for the injured Jay Cutler. Oh, boy.
Titans (+3½) at Rams: The Titans are coming off a bye, while the Rams are playing on a short week after playing Monday night. Teams that have played the Seahawks this season have problems the next week because of Seattle's physical ways. The Rams might win here, but it will be close. The Titans defense keeps it that way against Kellen Clemens.
