NFL Week 15 top picks: Two dogs are barking

Hey, it was good while it lasted. The hot steak is over.

So let's get it going again.

After a 3-0 record in Week 13, I went 1-2 with my top picks last week. I won with the Bengals and lost with the 49ers (why didn't Pete Carroll let them score, dammit?) and Cowboys.

Even so, the past six weeks I am 12-5-1 with my top three. Time to get back on the winning path with three more picks this week.

Browns (-2½) vs. Bears: I just don't like the way the Bears are playing defense and the Browns are solid on that side of the ball. Jay Cutler is back for the Bears, but I see the Bears giving up too many points here. Josh Gordon goes wild for the Browns.

Giants (+7½) vs. Seahawks: I just don't like this spot for the Seahawks. They are coming off two tough games and now must travel a long way to play the Giants. New York isn't playing for anything, so the Giants will be loose. Seattle will win it, but it's tight.

Buccaneers (+6) vs. 49ers: The 49ers are another team making a long trip to the East Coast. That's always tough, but it's even tougher when coming off a tough game with the Seahawks. Tampa Bay is playing better and harder. This will be a tight game all the way.

Pete Prisco has covered the NFL for three decades, including working as a beat reporter in Jacksonville for the Jaguars. He hosted his own radio show for seven years, and is the self-anointed star of CBS Sports' show, Eye on Football. When he's not watching game tape, you can find Pete on Twitter or dreaming of an Arizona State national title in football.
