Took over the Coyotes a week before the regular season and led the team to its first Stanley Cup Playoffs appearance since 2002. ... Guided Phoenix to a franchise-best 50-27-5 record ... The Coyotes established new franchise bests in wins (50), points (107), home wins (29) and longest home winning streak (10 games).
 
Barry Trotz, Nashville
Led Nashville to a 47-29-6 record for 100 points and its fifth playoff appearance in six seasons ... Nashville finished with the fourth-best record after the Olympic break (14-6-1) ... Trotz coached his 900th NHL game on Apr. 3, becoming just the sixth coach in league history to do so.
