When bad promo videos attack: NJ Devil steals D on Hollywood sign
When I was growing up I remember my dad loved a weekly segment on TV called "It's So Bad, It's Good" theater where just awful movies, typically horror or SciFi movies mostly from the '50s were shown. They were of such poor quality all around that you loved them, they were highly entertaining in that regard.
I bring this up because that's what this promo video put together by the New Jersey Devils reminded me of. The concept? Well just watch for youself.
Oh was that bad. The second news reporter? Now SHE was lacking pizzazz. The local official? Hilariously overacted.
But then the closing, with NJ Devil (really, they can't find a better name for the mascot than that?) walking in the airport with some Devils dancers behind him? Well any good will that I had from that great SportsCenter commercial back in the day was going down the tubes. But I did laugh at the old man walking by in the background with a WTF? look on his face.
If this is the Devils' answer to the creative Kings marketing staff that sent Dwight Schrute tickets in Jell-O, well, they might need to try again.
