Video: Lightning coach Guy Boucher 'shoots out' first pitch before Tampa Bay Rays game

By Adam Gretz | Hockey writer

Tampa Bay Lightning coach Guy Boucher has some extra free time on his hands (like the rest of the NHL) because of the ongoing lockout. On Friday night, he was invited to throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the Tampa Bay Rays' home game in St. Petersburg.

Except he didn't throw it.

He used a hockey stick and shot it across the plate, and it looked to be a strike.

So there's that. Nicely done.

Hopefully it's not the only hockey related (if you want to call it that) activity Boucher gets to participate in this season.
