Maple Leafs GM Brian Burke sleeps on street to raise money for charity

By Adam Gretz | Hockey writer

No matter your feelings on Brian Burke as a general manager, he does seem to be a really good guy who gives back to his community.

Take, for example, this past week, when the Maple Leafs' GM slept on the cold streets of Toronto, along with more than 50 other executives, to help raise awareness for homeless youth for the covenant house, a shelter for homeless youth.

Their night on the streets helped raise over $500,000. Here is Burke talking about his night, which included only a sleeping bag and a piece of cardboard.
