VIDEO: No. 1 overall pick Nail Yakupov scores first career goal

Nail Yakupov was the latest addition to the Edmonton Oilers' collection of No. 1 overall picks this past summer, and on Tuesday he scored his first NHL goal in the first period of their home opener against the San Jose Sharks.

Also pictured: the pure excitement of an 18-year-old kid after he nets his first career goal.

Unfortunately for the Oilers, it was their only bright spot of the opening 20 minutes as the Sharks steamrolled over them by scoring six goals of their own. And it probably wasn't even that close.
