The Stanley Cup is awesome for so many reasons. It's absolutely the best trophy in sports, I think even hockey haters can admit that.
One of the things that makes it so awesome and unique is the fact that everybody who was involved in winning the Cup gets their name engraved. For the first time ever, the Los Angeles Kings are now on the Cup with all the winners included.
One of the questions in the Stanley Cup Final regarded Simon Gagne and if he would be eligible to get his name on the Cup should the Kings win. It was made a moot point when he suited up for Game 4 of the Final (and finished the series on the ice as well). As you can see above, his name now lives on the Cup with the rest of his Los Angeles teammates.
As a note, you're not alone if you chuckled at seeing Michael Richards on the trophy and thinking of Cosmo Kramer. Of course it's not the actor from Seinfeld fame (and stand-up comedy infamy) but the man better known in hockey circles as Mike Richards.
Also making their way onto the Cup were Philip and Nancy Anschutz, team owners. AEG is actually in the process of selling the team and all of the corresponding properties, so this could be the last association with the Kings the Anschutzes have. Not the worst legacy to end on.
