Pekka Rinne is having some problems playing the puck in KHL

By Adam Gretz | Hockey writer

It's a good thing for Pekka Rinne that the NHL has the trapezoid rule, at least based on his brief stop in the KHL.

Rinne, currently playing for HC Dynamo Minsk during the NHL lockout, has had some adventures when it comes to playing the puck over the past couple of weeks.

A couple of weeks ago, he made the blooper reel for misplaying a puck in the corner that resulted in an easy empty-net goal against.

On Wednesday night, he did it again.

Maybe this explains why Rinne, when he's playing for the Nashville Predators, covers the puck more than any other goalie in the NHL (and by a wide margin).

In 14 KHL games, Rinne has a 7-7 record to go with a .908 save percentage.
