By Adam Gretz | Hockey writer

College rivalries can be the best. They can also be a little weird, and they can be yet another excuse for hockey fans to throw dead creatures on the ice.

When the Cornell and Harvard hockey teams faced off on Friday night at Lycah Arena, a tradition that dates back to the 1970s was continued when Cornell fans pelted the Harvard hockey team with dead fish (and other assorted pieces of garbage) as it took the ice.

And here's another angle...

And just in case you're curious: when Cornell visits Harvard, the Harvard faithful used to return the favor by throwing dead chickens.
