Patrick Kane of the Chicago Blackhawks is one of the many NHL players taking up residence in Europe during the ongoing lockout, currently playing alongside young Boston Bruins superstar Tyler Seguin with Biel in the Swiss-A League, the top professional league in Switzerland.
He has 15 points in his first 13 games and recently did an interview with Sports News Television to talk about his time in Switzerland.
He also had a message for hockey fans in North America, which begins around the 54-second mark of the video posted above. And if you don't want to watch it, here's what he had to say:
"I guess for the fans back in North America, we want to say we're sorry this lockout stuff is going on. It's tough on all of us. The players I know, and as fans it's tough for you guys, too. We're hoping it gets done quick and we can play in front of you guys again. I hope you guys come back once the game does start.
"As for now, I'm over here enjoying my time in Switzerland, trying to play hockey, score some goals and do the things I love to do. We appreciate the patience, and hopefully we will see you soon."
As of Saturday, the NHL lockout is into its 84th day and still going strong.
