No matter what your opinion is of him as a general manager, there are two things you have to give him. First, he has been one of the most charitable executives in the NHL in recent years and has given more of his time to the community (for a number of causes, ranging from the You Can Play movement to sleeping on the street to raise awareness for homeless youth) than any other general manager in the league. And for that he deserves credit.
He's also brutally honest and one of the most quotable people in the NHL and is never shy about speaking his mind.
That brings us to this video (via Robert Soderlind, aka HockeyWebCaster) that highlights his most memorable sound bites during his time in Toronto.
My personal favorite: "Pittsburgh model my ass."
